(54)	Folding and wrapping assembly for packaging machines

(57) A folding and wrapping assembly (1) for packaging machines, which comprises an area (2) for introducing the product (P) with a portion of film (F) superimposed thereon, a pusher (3) for sending the product (P) onto a sliding table (4), respective members for folding the protruding edges of the portion of film (F), suitable movable apparatuses for folding the end flaps (5), constituted by superimposed edges of the film (F), and at least one movable heat-sealing device. The movable apparatuses for folding the flaps (5) are able to slide along the surface of the product (P) to be packaged in order to tension the film (F) along it.
