(54) Safety switch apparatus


(57) A safety switch apparatus for a work zone protection barrier, comprising a box-like body (B) designed to be mounted to the stationary part (F) of the barrier (B) and having a first slit (5), a switching circuit located in said box-like body (4) and designed to be connected to the power supply circuit of the machine or equipment, the switching circuit being operatable through said first slit (5), an actuator (6) designed to be associated with the door (P) of the barrier (B) and to be introduced in the first slit (5) for interaction with the switching circuit, a second slit (7) formed in the box-like body (4), and adapted to receive a pin (8) attached to the door (P), for centering and guiding it into the first slit (5). Means (9) are provided for blocking said second slit (7) in open door (P) conditions, with the actuator (6) not inserted in the first slit (5) and the power supply circuit being open.
