(54) Ultralight and perfumed compasses made of aluminium alloy

(57) The application relates to an ultralight and perfumed compass. The compass is made of an aluminium alloy. A coloured coating on the surface of the compass comprises microspheres filled with perfume which, upon manual rubbing of the surface, release the perfume.

Description

[0001] This model refers to compasses made of aluminium having lightness characteristics and that, by the manual rubbing, produce various perfumes, that are coordinated to the surface colour.

[0002] The known Art is based on the project of compasses made of brass, Zama metal, or plastic or made of these materials combined in various manner, that represents 3 quality levels, in which the brass is the maximum quality, the plastic material the minimum quality, and the Zama metal an economical middle-course solution.

[0003] Usually the compasses area superficially glazed or nickel-plated or treated by paints for making them more pleasant to our sight and touch due to lightly coarse surface, for allowing a better hand grip.

[0004] It was created a new product for the use of the base material, or a special aluminium alloy used also and mainly in aerospace industry, that allows, using classic dimensions, to reduce the compasses weight to almost 2/3 with respect to the brass solution and to keep the quality standards at the highest levels as the material hardness prevents the excessive wear caused by the use.

[0005] Then the advantageous characteristics with respect to the known Art are compasses more light with respect to the brass compasses, and then, among other things, it causes a lower tiredness during the prolonged use.

[0006] The porous surface treatment of this model is made up by the painting of particular type, that during the manual rubbing produces perfumes of different type, in relation to the colour types that are used.

[0007] Our surface treatment foresees, in addition to classic pigmentation of glazing, the insertion of microspheres made of perfumes in the paints used for the surface finishing, that, due to the rubbing of the fingers of a hand, free the perfume. The colours and the perfumes can vary, the product series shall include for example the following combinations: white with coconut perfume; pink with strawberry perfume; yellow with pineapple perfume; green with peppermint perfume; azure with "Caribbean Sea" perfume.

[0008] The compasses are also foreseen in other paint versions, perfumes, thermo- and photo-reacting paints, with other types of decorations and also with other materials different from the specific above mentioned aluminium.

[0009] The annexed Figures show:

Figure 1 shows a general view of the kompasses that correspond to the classic layout;

Figure 2 shows the section of a bar of compass with thickness of external layer made of spheres as said above, shown in enlarged scale.

[0010] Although this model was described with reference to its preferred embodiments, many other variants and modifications and other uses shall be evident to the persons skilled of technics. Therefore it is obvious that this model is not limited to the specific shown disclosure, specified by the annexed claims.

Claims

1. An ultralight and perfumed compasses, made of aluminium alloy, with optimal lightness characteristics and that, by manual rubbing, produce various perfumes, that are coordinated to the surface colour, in which the product is an improvement for the use of basis material, or a special aluminium alloy used also and mainly in aerospace industry, that allows, using classic dimensions, to reduce the weight of compasses to almost 2/3 with respect to the brass solution and to keep the quality standards at the highest levels, as the material hardness prevents the excessive wear caused by the use.

2. A compasses according to the claim 1, characterized in that a surface treatment with glazed effect by the particular painting that, during the manual rubbing, causes perfumes of different types, in relation to the types of colours used.

3. A surface treatment of compasses according to preceding claim or similar objects, that foresees in addition to classic pigmentation of glazing or nickel plating, the insertion of microspheres made of perfumes on the surface, that, due to the manual rubbing, free the perfume, in which the colours and the perfumes can vary, the product can be made for example with the following combinations: white with coconut perfume; pink with strawberry perfume; yellow with pineapple perfume; green with peppermint perfume; azure with "Caribbean Sea" perfume and/or with other combinations of any type.

4. A compass that can be also manufactured in other material different from above mentioned aluminium, in other versions with paints, perfumes, thermo- and photo-reacting paints, and also in other types of models and/or ornamental decorations.
