[0001] Innovation object is a pillow with adjustable regulation of hardness and height,
where the construction solution of the pillow enable also individual regulation of
inclination, with simple division of individual component parts, designed in a way
that enables individual adjustment by the user on the spot of pillow use. Innovation
belongs to the class A 47 G 9/10 of international patent classification.
[0002] Technical problem, successfully solved by submitted construction pillow with adjustable
regulation of hardness and height after invention, is the production of such a pillow
that can be individually changed in the sense of hardness, height and inclination
according to the user requests and that the user can easily adjust the pillow also
later, on the spot of usage.
[0003] Known solutions of the set technical problem, mainly the solutions that enable adjustment
of different pillow hardness, are based on production and mutual interchange of either
different layers of pillow or preparation of compoundable pillow with differentially
hard sections or zones.
[0004] Known is the invention of pillow, patent document
CH 677 594 that describes the pillow, compounded of larger number of chambers, that are filled
with material of preference, of different thickness and hardness. Individual chambers
are then closed with the help of zippers or different closing devices. With described
implementation of the pillow, its hardness can be changed only on precisely determined
and foreseen places, where the chambers are implemented; but it is not possible to
additionally regulate height or inclination.
[0005] Implementation of the pillow, described in patent document
DE 3 532 954 has two layers of foam material of different hardness, dressed in a cotton coating.
Individual setting of hardness, height and inclination is not possible with this implementation.
[0006] The solution, described in patent document
JP 2006312094 also has implemented core from harder polyutherane foam, coated by a covering layer
made out of softer polyutherane foam. Factory set hardness on individual parts of
the pillow is achieved with different thickness of used material for core and covering
layer.
[0007] The pillow, described by German patent document
DE 100 61 368 is compounded of upper parts of different hardness and lower base part that can be
compounded also of more, wedge shaped parts with different structure that enables
different inclinations of the pillow. The problem that is not satisfactory solved
with the described implementation is the compactness of compounded pillow.
[0008] Described known solutions are not satisfactory solving the set technical problem,
as the pillow hardness cannot be individually changed by sections or parts of the
pillow, nor can the pillow be easily adjusted to individual needs of different height
and inclination of the pillow later, on the spot of usage.
[0009] The pillow with adjustable regulation of hardness and height after the invention
is compounded is primarily three, mutually, with grooves and bulges compoundable layers
of materials of different hardness that can be folded into a compact uniform entirety,
where individual adjustment of hardness, height and inclination of the pillow after
invention can be achieved with installation of inserts of different hardness in upper
layer and different positions of a side of a halved lower layer, shorter on diagonal.

[0011] The pillow after invention, showed in submitted picture in axonometric view from
a side is compounded from differently hard layers A, B and C, where all three layers
have a combination of grooves 1 and bulges 2 implemented on mutual contact planes,
that enable stable mutual connection of mentioned layers A, B and C.
[0012] Layer A is formed in a shape of at least two differently high half round bulges 3,
4, where the upper layer can be compounded of a multitude of protuberances 5, there
is a groove foreseen in both bulges 3, 4 for inserting different inserts 6 of different
dimensions and hardness. This way we can set a pillow with individual hardness on
the spot of usage in a way that it is compounded of mentioned three layers A, B and
C with predefined hardness, with differently hard inserts 6 that give specific hardness
to the whole pillow on specific parts. With inserted layer B we can set the pillow
height while we can, with differently set parts 7, 8 of layer C, set different inclination
of the pillow.
[0013] Individually compounded pillow gives, due to the combination of groove 1 and bulges
2 on mutual contact planes of layers A, B and C, impression of great compactness,
so we can only insert it into a cotton coating, mostly for hygienic reason and not
that much for achieving compactness of the pillow after invention.
[0014] According to the described constructional implementation of the pillow with adjustable
regulation of hardness and height after the invention, it completely solves the set
technical problem and besides that, it also enables simple replacement of worn or
old parts or pillow layers by the user, without any accessories. This way, the ecological
view of potential waste due to a worn individual pillow part is improved.
