(57) A heat accumulator and a heat-accumulating module for use therein to be disposed e.g. in connection with a fireplace, in the flow channels for the combustion gases after the firebox. According to the invention, the heat-accumulating module (1,2,3) comprises a number of heat-accumulating elements (4) connected to each other side by side by means of at least one binding member (5) to form an elongated module.
