(54) Densification process of ceramics and apparatus therefor


(57) The present invention relates to an arrangement for sintering a ceramic body, the arrangement including: an applicator defining a monomode microwave heating chamber; a thermal insulation structure disposed within the chamber; a susceptor disposed within the thermal insulation structure having a lower microwave coupling temperature than the ceramic body; the ceramic body arranged adjacent to the susceptor; a magnetron; and a temperature measurement device. Related methods are also described.
