OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a layering which protects the corners of pieces
of glass during the transport thereof, achieving an end glass which features all of
the edges protected in an airtight manner, and in this way the dangers of deterioration
which might arise during the transport thereof can be prevented.

            BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] There are other means for the transportation of glass pieces, for example in Utility
Model number 290874 a frame is used to protect the glass during transportation.

[0003] In the Patent of Invention 254232, a device for the transportation of sheets of glass
is disclosed which attaches by means of suction pads, arranged slightly inclined.

[0004] In these patents, the edges of the glass pieces are not really protected for the
transportation thereof. A normal practice has been to protect the corners thereof
with adhesive tape in a way that intends to prevent small knocks to said corners from
               breaking the pieces of glass.

            [0005] There exists a patent,
JP11092182, wherein a glass piece with its entire perimeter protected is disclosed. The problem
with these systems is that this protective strip can be moved easily, so that the
               protection is rendered null.

[0006] Another document wherein the protection of the corners of a glass piece is disclosed
in order to avoid the breakage thereof during transportation is document
EP0270512, wherein a structure in the shape of a corner is defined which absorbs the possible
impacts on the piece of glass by the plastic material thereof.

[0007] With the present glass transportation device we are able to protect the edges of
the glass piece and facilitate the transportation thereof, all of this with simple
               elements.

            DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0008] The problem resolved by the present invention is the transportation of pieces of
glass, for example, when they are just removed from the furnace.

[0009] In addition it is a very quick protection to put on, and simple.

[0010] The edges and particularly the corners of the pieces of glass must be well-protected
during the transportation thereof in order to prevent their deterioration.

[0011] The present invention relates to a layering that will be coupled at each one of the
corners of a piece of glass, which has its entire contour protected, which facilitates
               the transportation thereof.

[0012] The protection system which is disclosed in the present invention consists of two
pieces; one piece of a material which absorbs the impacts, which covers the entire
perimeter of the piece of glass and L-shaped layering which is intended to cover the
corners of the piece of glass.

[0013] In order to do this, once the edge of the piece of glass has been protected with
a flexible material, the layering of the invention is placed on the corners in order
to better protect said corners. The layering is open at its interior half in order
to facilitate the placement thereof on the corner of the piece of glass.

[0014] Said layering has ribs close to the corners thereof in order to better attach the
flexible material which covers the edge of the piece of glass.

[0015] The interior profile of the layering is complementary to the interior profile of
the flexible material for the perfect coupling of the assembly.

[0016] The layering can have a valve for the vacuum packing and attach better to the flexible
material, thereby creating a stagnant and immovable assembly, which improves the transportation.

[0017] The layering can feature a gripping and attachment element in order to facilitate
the transportation of the piece of glass.

            DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0018] The present specification is accompanied by a set of illustrative and non-limitative
drawings of a preferred embodiment of the invention.

[0019] Figure 1 shows a close-up of a corner of a piece of glass wherein the layering of
               the invention has been placed.

            PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
[0020] In one example of embodiment the edge is coated with PVC (1).

[0021] On top of the PVC (1) the layering (2) of the invention is placed on the corners
thereof, which feature the valve (2.1) to do the vacuum packing.

[0022] Once the vacuum packing has been done, the PVC is perfectly affixed and does not
move, thereby facilitating the transportation thereof.

[0023] The layering features ribs in the interior thereof close to the corner for the attachment
               of the interior PVC.

[0024] In a second example of embodiment the PVC is placed and this is what has the valve
necessary to be able to do the vacuum packing; once affixed, the layering is placed
               on the four corners.

[0025] Once placed so that the affixation is perfect and the transportation can be improved,
the layering of the present example of the invention features means of attachment
and transportation such as clamps which rest on the elbow.

[0026] In the same way, other means of attachment can be used, such as suction pads.

[0027] The essentiality of this invention is not altered by variations in materials, shape,
size and arrangement of the component elements, described in a non-limitative manner,
this being sufficient for the reproduction thereof by a person skilled in the art.

            1. Layering (2) for the protection of the corners of a piece of glass characterized in that it is placed on the corners of a piece of glass already protected with a flexible
material (1); the layering (2) is open in the interior half thereof in order to facilitate
the placement and features ribs close to the corner in order to improve the affixation.

            2. Layering (2) according to claim 1, characterized in that it features a valve (2.1) to do the vacuum packing.

            3. Layering (2) according to claim 1, characterized in that it features means of gripping and attachment.
