(57) The method of manufacturing of the knitted fabric finished with amber finish consisting
of the six stages of preparation, bleaching, rinsing, drying, padding bath and final
drying. Raw knitted fabric is delivered to the process and prepared for bleaching;
next - the knitted fabric is being bleached, preferably in dyeing machine of MCS FIRST
type at the temperature close to boiling point of water, preferably at 95°C. During
the process of bleaching, a bleaching liquor is applied, where water is used as a
carrier of bleaching agents. Bleaching agents are some or all additives falling within
the group: hydrogen peroxide solution, caustic soda, stabilizer for hydrogen peroxide
solution having a composition and/or properties of SOF FLU preparation, preferably
SOF FLU preparation itself, dispersing soap, preferably isol dispersant S40, anti-foam
agent having a composition and/or properties of Anchemol P preparation, preferably
Anchemol P preparation itself, softening agent and an agent reducing surface tension
of the bath and having a composition and/or properties of Softan PE preparation, acetic
acid. After completion of bleaching operation, the knitted fabric is being rinsed
and dried. Preferably, the drying temperature amounts to about 145°C, whereas the
fabric advance speed equals to 10m/min. After drying to the required level of humidity,
the knitted fabric passes through the amber padding bath with a squeeze of 60 up to
90%. Preferably, the above is carried out in the apparatus of FULARD type. Besides
the dissolved amber, the bath liquor contains also resin having a composition and/or
properties of Holiavkiran FEOO preparation and/or bonding hardener having composition
and/or properties of Isol thiener PDN. After passing through the padding bath, the
knitted fabric reaches the dryer. Preferably, the temperature of drying equals to
about 140°C, whereas the fabric advance speed equals to 10m/min.
[0001] The subject-matter of the invention is the method of manufacturing of the knitted
fabric with amber finish.
[0002] Thanks to its properties both amber and objects made of it are highly valued and
used in many fields of life starting from purely decorative function of jewellery
made of this fossil resin and ,last but not least, its applications in medicine. In
case of medical applications, the most essential properties of amber are its electrostatic
properties. It has been observed that amber charges up negatively and that such a
way of electrization is a particularly desired method taking into consideration its
medicinal properties, e.g. in case of rheumatic diseases.
[0003] The medicinal properties of amber in a form of jewellery are ineffective. That is
why it is used in a form of ointments, creams, tinctures etc. For therapeutic purposes
it is also possible to use woven and knitted fabrics, which contain in their structure
particles of amber, charging up negatively the same fabric as well as its close environment.
[0004] According to the patent
PL 170450, the method of manufacturing of fabric with such properties, consisting in spreading
of crushed amber in a form of powder on the surface of fabric or in a form of dispersion
in organic solvent has been presented. Concentration of solution to be spread on the
surface of material equals to at least 0.005 % by weight of solution, and the solvent
in which amber is dissolved boils at the temperature below 200° C. It is also possible
to introduce amber onto the surface of material without usage of any solvent. After
having been covered with particles of amber, the surface is alternatively pitted or
rolled.
[0005] A little bit different method of spreading amber on the surface of fabric has been
presented in the patent
PL170098. The particles of amber with appropriately adjusted weights are added to the reaction
mass, from which fibres are received, which are further used in manufacturing of woven
or knitted fabrics. In the result of temperature or solvent activity, amber gets into
the structure of ready-made product.
[0006] The method of manufacturing of knitted fabrics according to the invention enables
to eliminate solvents and heating of ready-made product up to the softening temperature
of fibres when, at the same time, the particles of amber get into the structure of
the product itself.
The method according to the invention consists of six stages.
Stage I - raw knitted fabric is delivered to the process and prepared for bleaching.
Stage II -knitted fabric is being bleached e.g. in dyeing machine of MCS FIRST type.
Preferably, every bleaching process is carried out at the temperature close to boiling
point of water, preferably at 95°C. During the process of bleaching, a bleaching liquor
is applied where water is used as a carrier of bleaching agents. Bleaching agents
are some or all additives falling within the group: hydrogen peroxide solution, caustic
soda, stabilizer for hydrogen peroxide solution having a composition and/or properties
of SOF FLU preparation, preferably SOF FLU preparation itself, dispersing soap, preferably
isol dispersant S40, anti-foam agent having a composition and/or properties of Anchemol
P preparation, preferably Anchemol P preparation itself, softening agent and an agent
reducing surface tension of the bath and having a composition and/or properties of
Softan PE preparation, acetic acid. Preferably, when applied in a full range, quantities
of bleaching agents are as follows:
- hydrogen peroxide solution - 10 g/l
- caustic soda - 2 g/l
- stabilizer SOF FLU - 0.7 g/l
- isol dispersant S40 - 0.5 g/l
- Anchemol P - 1 g/l
- Softan PE - 3%
- acetic acid - 1 g/l.
Stage III - After completion of bleaching operation, the knitted fabric is being rinsed.
Preferably, rinsing is carried out during at least two cycles. Preferably, an individual
cycle of rinsing lasts about 10 minutes.
Stage IV - After it has been stated that residues of bleaching bath have been properly
rinsed off, the knitted fabric is being dried. Preferably, the temperature of drying
has been adjusted in such a way, that simultaneously with fabric advance speed in
relation to the dryer, the optimal drying of the knitted fabric is guaranteed. Preferably,
the temperature of drying amounts to about 145°C, whereas the fabric advance speed
equals to 10m/min.
Stage V - After drying to the required level of humidity, the knitted fabric passes
through the amber padding bath, preferably squeezed from 60% up to 90%. Preferably,
the above is carried out in the apparatus of FULARD type. Besides the dissolved amber,
the bath liquor contains also resin having a composition and/or properties of Holiavkiran
FEOO preparation and/or bonding hardener having a composition and/or properties of
Isol thicner PDN preparation. Preferably, in case when both additives are used along
with amber, their quantities are as follows:
- amber - 14 g/l
- Holiavkiran FEOO - 25 g/l
- Isol thicner PDN - 5 g/l
Squeeze from 60 up to 90% means that mass of the knitted fabric after passing through
the amber padding bath is larger by 60 up to 90%. Preferably, squeeze is up to 80%.
Stage VI - After passing through the padding bath, the knitted fabric reaches the
dryer. Preferably, the temperature of drying has been adjusted in such a way, that
simultaneously with fabric advance speed in relation to the dryer, the optimal drying
of the knitted fabric is guaranteed. Preferably, the temperature of drying amounts
to about 140°C, whereas the fabric advance speed equals to 10m/min.
Example of making:
[0007] The raw knitted fabric delivered for the stage I is prepared for bleaching and then
- bleached during the stage II. The knitted fabric is bleached in the dyeing machine
of MCS FIRST type, and the process of bleaching is carried out at the temperature
close to the boiling point of water i.e. at 95°C. During the process of bleaching
the bleaching liquor is applied, where water is used as a carrier of bleaching agents.
Bleaching agents are additives falling within the group: hydrogen peroxide solution,
caustic soda, stabilizer SOF FLU, isol dispersant S40, Anchemol P, Softan PE, acetic
acid and their quantities amount accordingly to:
- hydrogen peroxide solution -10 g/l
- caustic soda - 2 g/l
- stabilizer SOF FLU - 0.7 g/l
- isol dispersant S40 - 0.5 g/l
- Anchemol P - 1 g/l
- Softan PE - 3%
- acetic acid - 1 g/l.
After completion of bleaching operation, the stage III starts during which the knitted
fabric is being rinsed. Rinsing is carried out during at least two cycles. An individual
cycle of rinsing lasts about 10 minutes. In case of repeated rinsing, each cycle is
carried out in a separate bath, which the knitted fabric passes through. After it
has been stated that residues of bleaching bath have been properly rinsed off, the
knitted fabric is being dried during the stage IV. The temperature equals to about
145°C, whereas the fabric advance speed equals to 10m/min. After drying to the required
level of humidity, the stage V of the method according to the invention starts and
the knitted fabric passes through the amber padding bath with a squeeze of up to 80%.
The above is carried out in the apparatus of FULARD type. Besides the dissolved amber,
the bath liquor contains also Holiavkiran FEOO and/or Isol thicner PDN. Their contents
are as follows:
- amber - 14 g/l
- Holiavkiran FEOO - 25 g/l
- Isol thicner PDN - 5 g/l
After passing through the padding bath, the stage VI starts during which the knitted
fabric reaches the dryer. The temperature of drying equals to about 140°C, whereas
the fabric advance speed equals to 10m/min. On completion of drying - ready-made product
is formed in bales.
