(57) According to the invention, a seat (125) is provided for use in a shower or a bath. The seat (125) has a base for supporting a user, a support, such as a pair of legs (150), for supporting the weight of a user, and a bracket (140) for removeably attaching to a grab bar (35). The seat (125) is dimensioned so that the grab bar (35) does not support the load of the user.
