(54)	Method of driving a light source, light source apparatus for performing the method and display apparatus having the light source apparatus

(57) In a method of driving a light source of a light source module including a plurality of driving blocks, an image signal is analyzed and a target luminance corresponding to each of the driving blocks is determined. A dimming level of each of the driving blocks is determined by using the target luminance. A driving signal is generated, and the driving signal has a pulse width based on the dimming level and a variable frequency in accordance with a processing mode of the image signal. The driving block is driven by using the driving signal.
