(54) Refrigerator and method of controlling the same


(57) A refrigerator (1) is provided. The refrigerator (1) includes a cabinet (10) defining a storage space, a door (30) selectively closing the storage space, and a heater (H) for reducing dew condensation on the door (30). The refrigerator (1) further includes a temperature detecting part (S1) for detecting an indoor temperature; and a humidity detecting part (S2) for detecting an indoor relative humidity, wherein an output of the heater (H) is set according to an indoor temperature (T) and relative humidity (RH) respectively detected by the temperature detecting part (S1) and the humidity detecting part (S2), and an operation thereof is controlled according to the set output.
