(54) Bipolar automatic circuit breaker for low-voltage applications

(57) A low-voltage bipolar automatic circuit breaker comprising a couple of electrical poles each of which has a device for protection against short-circuits. The circuit breaker further comprises a differential protection device associated with both poles and a single overload protection device associated with one of the two poles which causes the tripping of a closing/opening kinematic mechanism and the consequent opening of the contacts of the two poles upon detection of an overload fault condition.
