(57) A lighting unit includes a projection lens, a first image forming section for forming a first projected image on a rear focal plane of the projection lens, and a second image forming section for forming a second projected image on the rear focal plane of the projection lens. The first image forming section includes a first light source and a shading member for intercepting a part of a light emitted from the first light source to form the first projected image. The second image forming section includes a second light source and a reflecting surface for reflecting a light emitted from the second light source to form the second projected image.
