(57) A seat apparatus (2) for a vehicle includes a longitudinal sliding mechanism (4) including a first lower rail (8) adapted to be fixed to a vehicle floor and extending in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle and a first upper rail (10) slidably supported to the first lower rail (8), a width-directional sliding mechanism (6) including a second lower rail (60) mounted on the first upper rail (10) and extending in a width direction of the vehicle and a second upper rail (62) slidably supported to the second lower rail (60) and adapted to be fixed to a seat frame member (64), and an attachment bracket (5) extending in parallel to the second lower rail (60) and including an upper wall portion and first and second engagement portions (36a, 36b) extending downwardly from the upper wall portion, facing each other in the longitudinal direction, and supported by the first upper rail (10), wherein the second lower rail (60) is fixed between the first and second engagement portions (36a, 36b).
