(54) Stove comprising a firebox


(57) A fire construction (1) in the form of a stove comprises a firebox (2) having a front panel (40) to one side and a rear panel (5) to the other side. A baffle plate (3) extends over the firebox (2) towards the front panel (5) to in part define a gap between the baffle plate (3) and the front panel (5). An air panel (13) extends partially across the gap to define a chamber (4) and further defines an air outlet (12) generally adjacent the front panel (5). The air panel (13) also defines a plurality of openings (16) displaced from the outlet (12) and distributed to provide additional air flows from the chamber (14) to the firebox (2).
