(54) Air-cooled scroll compressor


(57) An air-cooled scroll compressor comprises a cooling fan attached to the drive shaft, a cooling air duct for introducing air discharged from the cooling fan to at least one of the back side of the revolving scroll and front side of the stationary scroll to cool, the spiral wraps of both scrolls mating with each other and forming compression chambers for compressing gas between them, wherein an inlet air duct for introducing a part of air discharged from the cooling fan is connected to an inlet port of the scroll compressor at an peripheral part of said stationary scroll so that a part of the air discharged from the cooling fan can be introduced to said compression chambers.
