(57) In one aspect, the invention is directed to a closure latch for a vehicle door, wherein if the closure latch is locked and a person actuates the outside door release lever in an attempt to open the door, the closure latch is configured to permit the inside door release lever to be actuated to open the ratchet, while the outside door release lever is still actuated.
