The Field of The Invention
[0001] The invention relates to pizza packages used for sending ordered pizzas to homes
or work places.
[0002] The present invention particularly relates to a multi-pizza package embodiment consisting
of pizza packages with characteristic allowing stacking of pizzas subject to number
thereof, which is developed for multi sending of pizzas.
Background of the Invention
[0003] In the existing embodiments, pizza boxes of the number of pizzas to be sent are put
into a bag on each other and sent in this way. However, this method causes sliding
of the boxes and separation of them during carrying. In addition, pizza boxes of designs
with covers are used although covers are not required for stacking for each pizza.
This unnecessary use also causes an additional material use by the firm due to such
cover. It also causes to set more space for package. Therefore, additional costs occur
for both raw material and storing.
[0004] The literature contains some developments applied for pizza packages. One of those
applications is European patent numbered
EP1776295B1 which relates to pizza box. The said invention generally pertains to a food container
constructed from an integral sheet of material, and more particularly to pizza box
formed from a corrugated paperboard blank for retaining, transporting and serving
a hot pizza.
[0005] A utility model application numbered
TR 2005 01753 discloses food separator with dents and bulges. The invention relates to dented and
bulged food packaging separator preventing adherence of the dough or cooked food to
the package on the bottom in patisseries, pizza's or baker's or preventing splash
thereof onto the surface and providing air circulation by help of the dents and bulges
provided thereon, preventing becoming dough (wet) of the food, and as basic components
composed of ground, bulge or piers, dents, dent ducts, bulge ducts and intermediate
part.
[0006] PCT application numbered
PCT/DK99/00487 has the title of packing article, particularly for pre-baked and frozen dough products.
It discloses a packing item, especially for prebaked and/or frozen dough items, e.g.
pizzas, calzones, and pies, which packing item at the side facing the dough item is
provided with a so-called susceptor coating, for example consisting of a polyester
coated, patterned metalizing or metal coating where a bottom part of the packing item
is designed with a number of ventilation openings around a central area.
[0007] Another European Patent is the patent numbered
EP1580145B1 and it relates to hot box for pizzas to take away, which is suited to be connected
to the car cigarette lighter socket and/or can be battery-operated, and comprises
heat-insulated sides, with front door, is internally divided with partitions, each
one of which can hold a tray whose size is suited to contain a pizza, said tray being
equipped on its bottom with one or more electric resistances electrically connected
to two contacts arranged on two opposite vertical sides of the tray. A plug electrically
connected to the battery inside the hot box allows the battery to be recharged or
electric power to be supplied through the car cigarette lighter socket or another
source.
[0008] As a result, the need for a multi-pizza packing embodiment consisting of pizza boxes
allowing stacking boxes without separation from each other as per the number of pizzas
to be delivered and developed for delivery of more than one pizzas in the same container
as a difference from embodiments in the related art and eliminating the disadvantages
of related art and the inadequacy of the existing solutions have necessitated development
in the related art.
Summary of the Invention
[0009] From current state of the related art, the purpose of the invention is to disclose
a multi-pizza packing embodiment in order to provide delivery of more than one pizza
in one package and separate from each other differently from disadvantages described
above.
[0010] Another purpose of the invention is to develop a practical multi-pizza packing embodiment
providing delivery of more than one pizza container with a single cover in a closed
manner.
[0011] A further purpose of the invention is to develop a multi-pizza packing embodiment
making pizza to be eaten easily by means of using coverless pizza box in tray form
as plate.
[0012] Another purpose of the invention is to develop a multi-pizza packing embodiment providing
benefit of 15% in sets of 2, 20% in sets of 3 and 22% in sets of 4 because of decrease
in use of additional cover.
[0013] A further purpose of the invention is to develop a multi-pizza packing embodiment
minimizing time and labour loss arising during application by the help of quick forming
and packaging.
[0014] Another purpose of the invention is to develop a multi-pizza packing embodiment reducing
material cost and obtaining an economical packing by eliminating additional packing
cost.
[0015] A further purpose of the invention is to develop a multi-pizza packing embodiment
preventing pizza being moistened by allowing discharge of hot pizza steam positioned
in the bottom boxes.
[0016] Another purpose of the invention is to develop a multi-pizza packing embodiment which
can be used in some other food sectors serving food products such as pide (pita),
lahmacun (Turkish pizza), kebab etc. to homes as it is practical for stacking and
easy forming.
[0017] In order to achieve the above mentioned purposes, in order to provide delivery of
more than one pizza in the same package and apart from each other during delivery
of pizzas, a multi-pizza packing embodiment consisting of
- a box with cover containing an interlocking space located in lower part of rear surface
and lower part of front surface and
- at least one coverless box in the form of tray capable of stacking on top of each
other containing stacking tab located on front and rear surface in order to keep the
boxes of the said embodiment together and to carry them without shaking, interlocking
space located on lower part of rear surface and lower part of front surface in order
to provide locking of the said stacking tab and mounting of the boxes to each other,
and ventilation tab located on the side surfaces so as to prevent vaporization of
pizzas has been developed.
[0018] In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the multi-pizza packing embodiment
comprises a stacking tab height of which is structured longer than height of ventilation
tab.
[0019] The structural and characteristics features of the invention and all advantages will
be understood better in detailed descriptions with the figures given below and with
reference to the figures, and therefore, the assessment should be made taking into
account the said figures and detailed explanations.

Detailed Description of the Invention
[0022] In this detailed description, the preferred embodiment of the multi-pizza packing
embodiment (1) being subject of the invention has been described in a manner not forming
any restrictive effect and only for purpose of better understanding of the matter.
[0023] Figure 1 is a top perspective view of the demounted status of a preferred embodiment
of the multi-pizza packing embodiment (1) being subject of the invention. Two types
of packing are used for delivery of multi-pizzas. One of them is the pizza box with
cover (2) and the other one is the coverless box (3). The said coverless box (3) is
in the form of a tray and eliminates the need for a separate plate for service as
it can also be used as plate by the consumer.
[0024] The said coverless box (3), in order to be converted into a tray, consists of two
side surface (3.2), one front surface (3.3) and one rear surface (3.4) surrounding
the base (3.1). In order to allow keeping the said boxes together and carrying them
without shaking, one stacking tab (4) has been located on front surface (3.2) while
two stacking tabs (4) have been provided on the rear surface (3.4). In order to prevent
formation of vapour by pizza in the coverless boxes (3), a ventilation tab (5) has
been provided on the side surfaces (3.2). In addition, in order to provide interlocking
of the said stack tab (4), two interlocking spaces (7) have been provided on lower
part of the rear surface (3.4) while one has been provided on lower part of the front
surface (3.3).
[0025] The height of the said ventilation tab (5) is shorter than the height of the said
stack tab (4) and a space is formed between the box on the top and the box at the
bottom and thus discharge of pizza vapour is provided. Stack tab (4) is not disconnected
during delivery of pizza because the height of the said stack tab (4) is longer than
the height of ventilation tab (5) and thus the multi-pizza packing embodiment (1)
is kept together.
[0026] Differently from coverless box (3), the said box with cover (2) contains a cover
(6) with closing tabs (6.1) and ventilation space (8). The said ventilation space
(8) is opened by push of the cover (8.1) inward and the discharge of the vapour of
hot pizza in the box with cover (2) is provided.
[0027] Figure 2 is a top perspective view of the semi-mounted status of a preferred embodiment
of the multi-pizza packing embodiment (1) being subject of the invention. After putting
the pizza in the box with cover (2) and closing the cover (6), other pizzas can be
located in one or more than one coverless boxes (3) according to the order. Finally,
coverless boxes (3) are mounted to bottom of boxes with cover (2) by means of stacking
tabs (4). Thus the box with cover (2) closes the coverless box (3) mounted to it from
bottom and in turn the coverless box (3) closes other coverless box (3) coming after
it and thus eliminates the need for additional cover(s) (6).
[0028] Figure 3 is a top perspective view of the mounted status of a preferred embodiment
of the multi-pizza packing embodiment (1) being subject of the invention. The figure
shows a multi-pizza packing embodiment (1) ready for delivery consisting of a box
with cover (2) and at least one coverless box (3). The said embodiment (1) takes the
final form shown in Figure 3 by means of stack tabs (4) located on front surface (2.3,3.3)
and rear surfaces (2.4, 3.4) of the boxes (2, 3) formed by means of separate folding
as indicated in Figure 1 and interlocking spaces (7) located on front surfaces (2.3,
3.3) and rear surfaces (2.4, 3.4) of the said boxes (2, 3) where the said locking
tabs (4) will be located.
[0029] The protection area of this application has been specified under claims and cannot
be limited to the descriptions only given as sampling above. It is clear that any
innovation can be provided by a person skilled in the related art by use of the similar
embodiments and/or can also apply this embodiment in other areas for similar purposes
used in the related art. Therefore, such embodiments will be lack of novelty and inventive
step criteria.
