(57) In a floor panel, comprising a body having a core (30), in which floor panel at least two opposite parallel joint edge portions (86,87) are provided with connecting means (6,8,12) for mechanical joining of the floor panel in the horizontal direction (D2) with similar floor panels, said connecting means (6,8,12) having active locking surfaces (14,18) for cooperation with corresponding active locking surfaces (14,18) of adjacent floor panels after the floor panel has been joined therewith, it is foreseen that a material seal (31) of a resilient surface layer is covering the entire core surface.
