Abstract

 This invention refers to a seat and lid set, belonging to the toilet bowl accessories field essentially consisting of: a lower seat (1) mostly in a ring shape and upper lid (2) mostly in a plate shape with rear areas connected through articulation (3) and with set fixing bolts (4) in the toilet bowl rear area rim (100); this seat (1) and lid (2) include the respective handling tabs (10) and (20).

Description

[0001] This invention refers to a seat and lid set, belonging to the construction material field, more precisely the toilet bowl accessories and their required layout for a more hygienic use in relation to the conventional ones.

[0002] The toilet seat and lid set essentially consists of: an articulately connected seat and lid mounted in the rear area of the toilet bowl upper rim; this seat can be fixed and directly supported on the bowl rin and the lid fixed on the seat, closing the bowl.

[0003] The careless use of the toilet installations, particularly public installations, is not rare, which means the compromising of the best hygiene conditions of the toilet bowl seat and lid set, mainly due to urine drips. Many times, the seat and lid set has a layout that requires the user to position to use the installation. Due to the precarious hygiene conditions, it is usually an unpleasant task and this means Contamination risks.

[0007] Therefore, bearing in mind the problems referred to above and in order to overcome them and seeking to comply with the related objectives, a layout for the toilet bowl seat and lid set was developed, this invention objective, which has two tabs: one on the seat and another on the lid, placed during construction and placed in strategic positions to avoid urine spray so the user can hold them to lift the lid or seat.

[0008] This seat and lid set construction, equipped with holding tabs resolves the problem mentioned above because it makes it possible for the user to position the set using the tabs and so not be susceptible to contamination.

[0009] On the other hand, providing tabs does not make the seat and lid set construction or manufacturing difficult and does not increase the cost undesirable levels, conforming to the other invention objectives.

[0011] In conformity with the figures shown above, the seat and lid set, this invention objective is for the use and closing cf a toilet bowl 100 and essentially consisting of: a seat 1 mostly in a ring shape and a lid 2 mostly in a plate shape with rear areas articulately connected one to another using articulation 3 and where are provided 4 fixing bolts of the set in the rear area of the rim of the toilet bowl 100, so that seat 1 can be fixed directly on the upper rim of the bowl and lid 2 fixed on the seat to close the bowl.

[0012] In this layout, the seat 1 and lid 2 incorporate the respective handling tabs 10 and 20 placed in strategic positions so as not to get dirty mainly from urine spray, so as not to interfere in the set usage and can be held by the user to open and close the seat 1 and lid 2.

[0013] Therefore, the handling tabs 10 and 20 preferably are placed radially on the seat 1 and lid 2 sides and not aligned vertically, in other words, the tab 20 of lid 2 does not overlap tab 10 of seat 1.

[0014] Each handling tab 10, 20 can also have a set up which avoids or makes it difficult that the area being held by the user can get urine drips. For example the handling tab 10, 20 can include a protection tab section 11, 21, radially extending on the seat 1 and lid 2 respectively; and a holding section 12, 22 extending on this and placed under the referred to protection tab 11, 21 when the seat 1 and lid 2 are fixed on the toilet bowl rim.

[0015] Therefore, when the user wants to move the lid 1 or this and the seat 2 of the set the user holds the tab 10 or 20.

[0016] In the basic construction described above the seat and lid set, particularly their hold tabs, the objective of this patent, can present modifications relating to materials, dimensions, constructive details and/or functional set up and/or decoration, without going outside the requested protection scope.

[0017] Inside this, as an option, tab 10 can be placed in the seat 1 and rim 20 of the lid 2 not planned, because by lifting seat 1 using rim 10, lid 2 is also lifted up without the need to handle a specific lid tab.

Claims

1. Toilet bowl seat and lid set layout essentially consisting of (1) a seat mostly in a ring shape and a upper lid (2) mostly in a plate shape with rear areas connecting through articulation (3)and with the set fixing bolts (4) in the rear rim area toilet bowl (100), characterized by the seat (1) and lid (2) including the respective handling tabs (10) and (20).

2. Toilet bowl seat and lid set layout in accordance with the claim 1 , characterized by the handling tabs (10) and (20) preferably being arranged radially on the seat (1) and lid (2) sides and not aligned vertically.

3. Toilet bowl seat and lid set layout in accordance with the claim 1 or 2, characterized by the fact that each tab (10), (20) can be formed: from the protection tab section (11), (21), extended radially on the seat (1) and lid (2) respectively; and from a handling section (12), (22) extending on that and is placed under the referred to protection tab section (11), (21) when the seat (1) and lid (2) are fixed on the toilet bowl rim (100).

4. Toilet bowl seat and lid set layout in accordance with the claim 1 characterized by the fact that only the seat (1) is provided with a handling tab (10) and the lid (2) is not provided with the handling tab and is lifted with the seat (1) when it is lifted using the handling tab (10).
