(57) An item of seating furniture provided with a basic element (1) having a substantially
horizontally extending seating part (3) and a backrest (5) extending therefrom in
height direction, and at least one armrest (19, 21) connectable with one of first
and second opposite sides of the basic element (1). In this seating furniture element,
the basic element (1) is provided with a supporting support construction (11, 13)
on which the at least one armrest (19, 21) with a recess (33) can be removably slid.
A combination of an item of seating furniture with exchangeable armrests (19, 21)
and a holder (51) for storing and presenting extra exchangeable armrests (19A-C, 21D-G)
is also part of the invention.
