(54) Rack display unit for products in general, with improved elements

(57) Rack display unit (1) for products in general, with improved elements, comprising a supporting body (2) which is slidingly connected to a rack element (10) that has a front (11), which delimits, in conjunction with an elastically pushed presser (12), a region of positioning of the products to be displayed, the rack further comprising, on the front, removable means (20, 21) of coupling interchangeable plates (22) for supporting labels (24) and the like.

Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a rack display unit for products in general, with improved elements.

[0002] As is known, rack display units are available on the market which, generally speaking, have a supporting body upon which a rack element is slidingly positioned that has a front on which information about the products displayed is positioned.

[0003] The products are accommodated in the region that is delimited between the front and a presser which is elastically pressed by a spiral spring which has one of its ends fixed to the supporting body.

[0004] This type of display unit has been prooved to be very effective from many aspects, but it is susceptible of improvements especially in terms of possibilities for increasing the versatility of its use, in order to be capable of being easily adapted to the different types of product displayed.

[0005] The aim of the present invention is to solve the above mentioned problems by providing a rack display unit that is particularly stable and capable of being used with products that have different sizes.

[0006] Another aim of the present invention is to provide a rack display unit that, owing to its distinctive implementation characteristics, is capable of offering the widest guarantees of reliability and safety in use.

[0007] A further object of the present invention is to provide a rack display unit that can be easily made from elements and materials that are available on the market and which, moreover, is competitive also from a merely economic viewpoint.

[0008] This aim, as well these and other objects which will become better evident hereinafter, are achieved by a rack display unit for products in general, with improved elements, according to the invention, comprising a supporting body which is slidingly connected to a rack element that has a front, which delimits, in conjunction with an elastically pushed presser, a region of positioning of the products to be displayed, characterized in that it comprises, on said front, removable means of coupling interchangeable plates for holding labels and the like.

[0009] Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become better apparent from the description of a preferred, but not exclusive, embodiment of a rack display unit for products in general, with improved elements, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the accompanying drawings wherein:

Figure 1 is a schematic perspective view of a rack display unit, according to the invention;

Figure 2 shows the rack display unit with the interchangeable plates shown in exploded view;

Figure 3 is a perspective view of the rack display unit;

Figure 4 is an exploded rear perspective view of the rack display unit;

Figure 5 is a sectional view taken along the line V-V of Figure 3;

Figure 6 is an exploded view of the rectilinear side walls which can be associated with the rack display unit;

Figure 7 is a view of the adjustable means of positioning the rectilinear side walls.

[0010] With reference to the figures, the rack display unit for products in general, with improved elements, according to the invention, generally indicated with the reference numeral 1, comprises a supporting body 2 which is connected to brackets 3 which are provided with teeth 4 for engaging a supporting rack 5.

[0011] The brackets 3 are facing downwardly so as not to create a hindrance when sliding the rack element and so as to confer an optimal stability.

[0012] A rack element is connected to the supporting body 2. The rack element, generally indicated with the reference numeral 10, has a front 11 that defines, in conjunction with an elastically pushed presser 12, a region in which the products are accommodated.

[0013] The presser 12 can optionally be connected to an inclined rest 13 which offers the possibility of keeping the displayed products inclined, which is particularly useful if the rack display unit is positioned in the lower region of the rack.

[0014] The presser 12 is pushed by the volute end of a spiral spring 15 which has its other end fixed to the supporting body.

[0015] At the front there are means of removably coupling interchangeable plates for holding labels and the like, which, in a preferred embodiment, are constituted by guides 20 which are arranged opposite to each other, into which can be inserted a coupling 21, advantageously of the dovetail type, which is defined on interchangeable plates 22 which frontally define a seat 23 for accommodating labels and the like 24.

[0016] The plates 22 are interchangeable so as to present different sizes depending on the type of product displayed.

[0017] The rack display unit body has rectilinear side walls 30 which are provided with a coupling wing 31 which is inserted under the bottom of the rack element in order to be slidingly guided so as to be capable of being moved depending on the width of the product displayed.

[0018] In order to make the positioning stable, at the longitudinal ends of the coupling wings 31 there are elastically yielding teeth 32 which are inserted in a rack toothing 33 that is correspondingly defined on the bottom of the rack element.

[0019] In this way it is possible to move the side walls by defeating the elastic resistance exercised between the elastically yielding tooth and the rack toothing, so as to position the side walls at the desired width, without having to carry out complex and/or laborious operations.

[0020] From the foregoing it can be seen that the invention achieves the intended aim and objects, and attention is drawn to the fact that a rack display unit is provided which is particularly practical and functional, since it makes it possible to easily interchange the plates for holding the labels displayed, simply by sliding them out from the guides 20.

[0021] Moreover, the adoption of the supporting brackets which are facing downwardly makes it possible to make the connection particularly stable without having any interference.

[0022] Advantageously, the brackets are made of metal, while the remaining portion of the structure is made of plastics.

[0023] In practice the materials employed, provided they are compatible with the specific use, as well as the dimensions and the contingent shapes, may be any according to requirements.

[0024] The disclosures in Italian Utility Model Application No. MI2009U000423 from which this application claims priority are incorporated herein by reference.

[0025] Where technical features mentioned in any claim are followed by reference signs, those reference signs have been included for the sole purpose of increasing the intelligibility of the claims and accordingly, such reference signs do not have any limiting effect on the interpretation of each element identified by way of example by such reference signs.
