(57) A printing apparatus includes a transport roller which is formed in a cylindrical shape in which a pair of ends of a metal plate faces each other and has a high friction layer transporting a transport medium on an outer circumferential surface thereof; and a printing unit performing printing on the transport medium transported by the transport roller.
