(54) NOVEL COPPER PHTHALOCYANINE PIGMENT AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING COPPER PHTHALOCYANINE FINE PARTICLES

(57) Disclosed is a copper phthalocyanine pigment comprising copper phthalocyanine that is in an alpha-type crystal form and is superior in properties to epsilon-type copper phthalocyanine under specific conditions. Also disclosed is a process for producing copper phthalocyanine microparticles. The copper phthalocyanine pigment comprises copper phthalocyanine that is in an alpha-type crystal form and exhibits a transmission spectrum at 380 to 780 nm that has a highest transmittance wavelength (lambda max) of less than 478nm.
