TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention relates to a portable nail art tool for printing various patterns
on fingernails using a stamping technique to create a user's own style and a nail
art method using the same.
[0002] In particular, the prevent invention relates to a portable nail art tool in which
a user is enabled to select a plurality of patterns engraved on a pattern molding
plate and precisely print a three-dimensional pattern on fingernails using a stamping
technique with the naked eye, thereby maximizing the convenience of use, and a pattern
surface of the pattern molding plate is rounded and an internal air layer serves as
a buffer layer during the push for printing to provide a more effective printing work,
thereby realizing improved nail art, and a mail art method using the same.
BACKGROUND ART
[0003] In general, nail art is to draw various patterns (shapes or forms) on fingernails
or toenails using a pen for the purpose of aesthetic decoration, leading to aesthetic
enhancement of plain fingernails and toenails.
[0004] According to a typical nail art, a specialist (skilled worker) expresses various
patterns on surfaces of fingernails using a nail polish in cosmetics stores or specialized
shops.
[0005] However, it is difficult for a beginner, not a specialist, to draw desired pictures
or various patterns on fingernails or toenails using a nail polish. Furthermore, it
is very difficult to simply realize nail art on the fingernails or toenails by alternately
using left and right hands due to the nature of human.
[0006] Also, such a manual nail art method is time-consuming because the nail art process
is conducted manually.
[0007] In addition, when pictures are failed, a longer time is taken because a user should
erase the failed pictures and again draw pictures.
[0008] To solve the above-described limitations, vending machine type nail art devices including
mechanical mechanisms have been developed in recent years. However, everyone could
not easily use the vending machine type nail art devices because they are expensive
and installed only at fixed positions.
[0009] Thus, a pad printing type nail art technique that enables a user to realize nail
art personally and easily is disclosed in Korean Patent Registration No.
10-485928 entitled "NAIL ART TOOL AND NAIL ART METHOD USING THE SAME" and Korean Utility Model
Registration No.
20-385738 entitled "NAIL ART TOOL." However, such a pad printing type nail art tool has many
limitations as follows. First, paint is filled into a pattern or design engraved on
an image plate, and the filled pattern or design is extracted again by a stamp. Then,
the extracted pattern or design is printed on fingernails or toenails. Thus, it is
cumbersome to reproduce the pattern or design on the fingernails or toenails. Second,
when the pattern or design is extracted and printed again, it is difficult to print
its original form of the engraved pattern or design on the fingernails or toenails.
Third, since a separate image plate is used, a nail art process is complicated in
addition to the cumbersome of the nail art process.
[0010] To solve the above-described limitations of the nail art technique, a Korean patent
application assigned Korean Patent Application No.
10-2008-105284 entitled "NAIL ART TOOL" was filed earlier than the present patent application by
the applicant of the present patent application.
[0011] According to the earlier Korean patent application, a stamping type nail art technique
is realized. In the stamping type nail art technique, paint or ink for nail art is
coated on various patterns or designs engraved on a surface of a molding plate. Then,
when the molding plate is pressed against fingernails or toenails in a state where
a scribing process is performed to remove the paint or ink exposed to the surface,
convex patterns or designs are printed on a flat surface and curved portions.
[0012] However, the earlier Korean patent application filed by the applicant of the present
application has many limitations as follows. Since a user does not confirm positions
(directions) of the patterns engraved on the molding plate, the positions (directions)
of the patterns should be confirmed one by one when the patterns are printed on the
fingernails or toenails. Also, the above-described process should be carefully performed
again after erasing the patterns when mistakes occur. Also, since the molding plate
is limited to its size, only one pattern can be formed on the molding plate. Thus,
a plurality of molding plates having various patterns are required, causing increase
in manufacturing costs. Also, it is inconvenient to carry and store the molding plates
and the molding plates may be lost easily because the molding plates are separated
from each other. In addition, it is inconvenient to detach the molding plates in use
of the molding plates. Also, since the plurality of molding plates are provided to
increase the overall volume of the tool, the manufacturing costs may be increased.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Technical Problems
[0013] It is thus an object of the present invention to provide a portable nail art tool
that reduces manufacturing costs due to a simplified structure and enables a user
to confirm various patterns with the naked eye and select desired patterns, whereby
nail art can be easily realized.
[0014] That is, the portable nail art may have a simplified structure to minimize the manufacturing
costs. Also, nail art can be easily realized because a user confirms the various patterns
engraved on the pattern molding plate with the naked eye and selects desired patterns.
[0015] Also, since a pattern surface of the pattern molding plate formed of an opaque silicon
material and having a buffering property protrudes at a central portion thereof to
form a convexly rounded surface. Thus, the patterns may be precisely printed during
the stamping, and the printing process may be more perfectly realized due to the buffering
effect of an air layer within the pattern molding plate when the pattern molding plate
is pushed during the stamping.
Technical Solutions
[0016] To solve the objective, the present invention provides a portable nail art tool including:
a pattern molding plate on which a plurality of patterns are engraved radially on
a bottom surface thereof and an air layer space groove is defined in a top surface
thereof, the pattern molding plate being formed of an opaque silicon material; and
a grip body having an upper lamination groove and a lower assembly groove in which
an outer circumference of the pattern molding plate is forcibly fitted, which are
defined by a partition plate on which pattern printed layers having the same patterns
as those of the plurality of pattern grooves are printed on corresponding upper positions
of the partition plate, the grip body being formed of an opaque hard material, wherein
the pattern molding plate has a diameter greater than that of the lower assembly groove
of the grip body to forcibly fit the pattern molding plate into the lower assembly
groove and has an air cushion function against press due to air of the air layer space
groove.
[0017] The lower assembly groove of the grip body may have an inlet less than an external
diameter of the pattern molding plate and a groove structure (tapered structure) gradually
increasing toward the inside from the inlet to forcibly fit the pattern molding plate
into the lower assembly groove.
[0018] The grip body may include a support projection having a size greater than a height
of the air layer space groove of the pattern molding plate at a side of the lower
assembly groove of the partition plate, wherein the support projection may have a
rounded surface convexly protruding from a center of the bottom surface of the pattern
molding plate because the pattern molding plate is assembled in a state where the
support projection protrudes.
[0019] The pattern molding plate may be fitted into the upper lamination groove of the grip
body in a state where the pattern surface and apportion of a circumference of the
pattern molding plate are buried, thereby easily carrying and storing the plurality
of pattern molding plates stacked with each other.
[0020] To solve the objective, the present invention provides a nail art method using a
nail art tool including: cleaning a surface of a pattern surface of a pattern molding
plate; selecting a required pattern of patterns engraved on the pattern surface to
coat paint or ink; slightly stamping the pattern surface on a paper three to five
times to clean a surface except the engraved pattern; pushing the pattern filled with
the paint or ink against fingernails or toenails to print a three-dimensional pattern;
and coating enamel to protect the surface of the printed pattern.
Advantageous Effects
[0021] Based on the above structure of the present invention, the portable nail art tool
is easy to carry, and enables a user to select desired patterns with the naked eye
to thereby realize various nail art designs.
[0022] Also, the pattern surface of the pattern molding plate has the convexly rounded surface
at the central portion thereof. Thus, when stamped, the patterns may be precisely
printed. Also, when the pattern molding plate is pushed to extract the engraved pattern,
the air layer within the pattern molding plate serves as a buffer to perfectly extract
the patterns.
[0023] Also, since the plurality of pattern molding plates are stacked, the pattern molding
plates may be easily carried and stored.

Best Modes for practicing Invention
[0025] According to the present invention, a user may confirm a plurality of patterns engraved
on a pattern molding plate with the naked eye and select desired patterns, thereby
easily realizing nail art using a stamping technique. Also, a pattern surface of the
pattern molding plate has a convexly rounded surface at a central portion thereof.
Thus, when the pattern molding plate is pushed for stamping, an internal air layer
plate may server as a buffer to perfectly extract the patterns.

in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0028] A portable nail art tool of the present invention includes a pattern molding plate
100 having pattern grooves 110 engraved with a plurality of patterns, and a grip body
200 coupled to the pattern molding plate 100 and gripped by a user's hand.
[0029] As illustrated in the drawings of the present invention, the pattern molding plate
100 and the grip body 200 may have a disk shape; however, the present invention is
not limited thereto. For example, the pattern molding plate 100 and the grip body
200 may have a polygonal shape. Also, the pattern molding plate 100 and the grip body
200 may be formed of an opaque rubber material, e.g., silicone rubber having superior
elasticity and restoration and a self-lubricative property.
[0030] Although alphabets A to G are illustrated in the drawings, various patterns may be
illustrated on a bottom surface (pattern surface) of the pattern molding plate 100.
As shown in FIG. 8, pattern grooves 110 engraved in various shapes, such as a heart
shape, a star shape, a flower shape, etc., as well as animal and plant pattern grooves
110, may be formed on the bottom surface of the pattern molding plate 100.
[0031] The pattern grooves 110 are formed radially with respect to a center point of the
pattern molding plate 100. Also, the pattern grooves 110 may be formed with a distance
therebetween so that they do not interfere with each other in proportion to a size
of the pattern molding plate and in consideration of sizes of fingernails and toenails
of human.
[0032] The pattern molding plate 100 having the various pattern grooves 110 is coupled to
the grip body 200 to construct a set of nail art tools.
[0033] An air layer space groove 120 is defined on a top surface of the pattern molding

lower assembly groove 240, the pattern molding plate 100 is not separated from the

120 of the pattern molding plate 100 to serve as an air cushion. Thus, a buffering
property and elasticity against the pushing operation may be improved by the air layer
to increase extraction of paint or ink filled in the pattern groove 110.
[0039] FIG. 3 is a sectional view of a state after the pattern molding plate is assembled
with the grip body according to the present invention. The grip body 200 includes
a support projection 250 having a size C greater than a height D of the air layer
space groove 120 of the pattern molding plate 100 at a side of the lower assembly
groove 240 of the partition plate 220.
[0040] The support projection 250 has a rounded surface convexly protruding from a center
of the bottom surface (pattern surface) because the pattern molding plate 100 is assembled
in a state where the support projection 250 pushes the central portion of the air
layer space groove 120 of the pattern molding plate 100. Thus, the patterns of the
pattern groove 110 may be conveniently produced. The pattern groove 110 may be engraved
in the bottom surface (pattern surface) of the pattern molding plate 100 in a state
where the pattern molding plate 100 has the rounded surface from the beginning.

(pattern groove 110) of the pattern molding plate 100 are assembled to accord with
each other, the user may confirm the pattern printed layer 210 with the naked eye
to precisely print the pattern of the pattern molding plate 100 on the fingernails
and toenails.
[0042] Referring to FIG. 4, the patterns of the pattern groove 110 and the pattern printed
layer 210 are printed and engraved at positions corresponding to each other with respect
to an assembly reference display part 160 printed on the bottom surface (pattern surface)
of the pattern molding plate 100 and an assembly setting projection 260 protruding
at a side of an outer surface of the grip body 200.
[0043] Thus, referring to FIG. 5, when the pattern molding plate 110 and the grip body 200
are assembled in a state where the assembly setting projection 260 accords with the
assembly reference display part 160, the patterns of the pattern groove 110 and the
pattern printed layer 210 may accord with each other to maximize assembly workability.
[0044] Referring to FIG. 6, in the set of nail art tools assembled as described above, the
pattern molding plate 100 having a predetermined size and protruding from a lower
portion of the grip body 200 is assembled with a pattern molding plate 100 of the
other set of nail art tools. Thus, the plurality of pattern molding plates 100 may
be stacked with each other to easily carry or store the pattern molding plates 100
in a state where they are stacked with each other.
[0045] FIG. 7 is a block diagram of a nail art process using the portable nail art tool
according to the present invention.

a pattern molding plate 100 of FIG. 8 are cleaned using alcohol or washing water.

or ink using a brush.

partition plate 220 of a grip body 200 through the naked eye. Thereafter, as shown
in FIG. 8, the nail art may be realized using a stamping technique, i.e., a technique
in which the pattern molding plate is pushed against the fingernails or toenails to
extract its original form of the pattern filled in the pattern groove 110, thereby
printing the convex pattern.
[0050] According to the present invention, nail art for printing various patterns may be
realized using only a set of nail art tools. Also, assemblability may be secured in
spite of the simplified structure, and the pattern surface of the pattern molding
plate 100 may be rounded to conveniently produce the pattern of the nail art. In addition,
the internal air layer may serve as the buffer to extract the paint or ink filled
in the pattern groove 110 as it is.
[0051] Also, a plurality of sets of nail art tools having patterns different from each other
may be stacked to easily carry or store the nail art tools. Also, the user may easily
realize the nail art having various patterns.
Industrial Applicability
[0052] The nail art having the various patterns may be realized using the nail art tools
in a set to secure convenience in spite of the simplified structure. In addition,
the user may confirm desired patterns from the outside with the naked eye, and the
desired patterns are realized using the convenient stamping technique.
1. A portable nail art tool, comprising:
a pattern molding plate on which a plurality of patterns are engraved radially on
a bottom surface thereof and an air layer space groove is defined in a top surface
thereof, the pattern molding plate being formed of an opaque silicon material; and
a grip body having an upper lamination groove and a lower assembly groove in which
an outer circumference of the pattern molding plate is forcibly fitted,
which are defined by a partition plate on which pattern printed layers having the
same patterns as those of the plurality of pattern grooves are printed on corresponding
upper positions of the partition plate, the grip body being formed of an opaque hard
material,
wherein the pattern molding plate has a diameter greater than that of the lower assembly
groove of the grip body to forcibly fit the pattern molding plate into the lower assembly
groove and has an air cushion function against press due to air of the air layer space
groove.
2. The portable nail art tool according to claim 1, wherein the lower assembly groove
of the grip body has an inlet less than an external diameter of the pattern molding
plate and a groove structure (tapered structure) gradually increasing toward the inside
from the inlet to forcibly fit the pattern molding plate into the lower assembly groove.
3. The portable nail art tool according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the grip body comprises
a support projection having a size greater than a height of the air layer space groove
of the pattern molding plate at a side of the lower assembly groove of the partition
plate,
wherein the support projection has a rounded surface convexly protruding from a center
of the bottom surface of the pattern molding plate because the pattern molding plate
is assembled in a state where the support projection protrudes.
4. The portable nail art tool according to claim 1 or 2, wherein each pattern of the
grip body and each pattern of the pattern molding plate accord with each other at
the same position because the grip body and the pattern molding plate are accordingly
assembled in a state where an assembly setting projection protruding at a side of
an outer surface of the grip body accords with an assembly reference display part
printed on the pattern surface of the pattern molding plate.
5. The portable nail art tool according to claim 1, wherein the pattern molding plate
is fitted into the upper lamination groove of the grip body in a state where the pattern
surface and apportion of a circumference of the pattern molding plate are buried,
thereby easily carrying and storing the plurality of pattern molding plates stacked
with each other.
6. A nail art method using a nail art tool, comprising:
cleaning a surface of a pattern surface of a pattern molding plate;
selecting a required pattern of patterns engraved on the pattern surface to coat paint
or ink;
slightly stamping the pattern surface on a paper three to five times to clean a surface
except the engraved pattern;
pushing the pattern filled with the paint or ink against fingernails or toenails to
print a solid pattern; and
coating enamel to protect the surface of the printed pattern.
