| (54) | Speaker with air powered feedback |
| (57) The invention refers to sound reproduction systems and comprises a speaker with air
powered feedback mechanism. The loudspeaker (5) is installed inside the box (7). A
flexible rubber adaptor (bellows) (1) has been installed at the center of the front
side of the loudspeaker's (5) cone-shaped membrane (6). One side of the bellows (1)
is attached to the cone-shaped membrane of the loudspeaker (6) and the other to the
end of a section of the pipe (2). Pipes (3) are attached to the side holes of the
pipe section (2) which end up at the holes on the front side of the speaker box (7). The entire air powered feedback arrangement is constructed in such a manner as to allow air movement from inside the closed speaker box to the bellows and vice versa through the pipes. The bellows expand and compress respectively with the movement of the cone-shaped membrane of the loudspeaker. This procedure aims to equalize the pressure inside the box each time the cone-shaped membrane of the loudspeaker moves, in order to decrease resistance to the movement of the cone-shaped membrane. This helps increase width of movement of the cone-shaped membrane and improve performance. Air powered feedback allows minimizing the box's size up to the dimensions of the loudspeaker and creates a good width-frequency ratio increasing the performance of the loudspeaker / woofer. |
