[0001] The present invention relates to a cooking oven according to the preamble of claim
1.
[0002] The oven cavity is closable by a pivoting oven door arranged at the front side of
said oven cavity. Usually the oven door is mounted at the oven cavity by two door
hinges. One lever of the door hinge is attached in the sidewall of the oven cavity.
Another lever is attached in or at the oven door.
[0003] However, it is laborious, if the oven door has to be removed, since the door hinge
is fastened by several fixing elements. Further, the fixing elements are often difficult
to access. For example, parts of the oven cavity must be removed in order to dismount
the door hinge.
[0004] US 3,327,701 discloses a cooking oven with a door hinge device comprising an oven lever. Said
oven lever is removably insertable into a guiding assembly of a holder attached at
a side panel of the oven cavity. The oven cavity comprises a door frame with a cut-out.
The oven leaver penetrates said cut-out.
[0005] It is an object of the present invention to provide a cooking oven, wherein the proper
door hinge is easily removable from the cooking oven.
[0006] The object of the present invention is achieved by the cooking oven according to
claim 1.
[0007] According to the present invention the at least one guiding assembly penetrates through
said cut-out and comprises at least one screw for fixing the oven lever, wherein said
screw is arranged in a front portion of the guiding assembly, and wherein the guiding
assembly comprises at least one spring for clamping the oven lever, and wherein said
spring is formed as a U-shaped cut-out.
[0008] The core of the present invention is the structure of the holder. Said holder can
be permanently fastened at the side panel of the oven cavity on the one hand and can
include the door lever of the door hinge on the other hand, wherein the door lever
is insertable into and removable from the guiding assembly in an easy way.
[0009] According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention the holder is made of
a sheet by folding. The folding of the sheet allows low complexity.
[0010] Preferably, the guiding assembly of the holder has a U-shaped cross-section. The
guiding assembly may be an integrated part of the holder.
[0011] According to the present invention the guiding assembly comprises at least one screw
for fixing the oven lever. Preferably, the guiding assembly comprises only one screw
for fixing the oven lever, which allows a quick installation and removal of the oven
door.
[0012] According to the present invention the screw is arranged in a front portion of the
guiding assembly. In this case the screw is easily accessible.
[0013] Further, the guiding assembly comprises at least one spring for clamping the oven
lever. The oven lever can be fastened by the spring without any further steps.
[0014] Preferably, the spring is arranged in a rear portion of the guiding assembly. According
to the present invention the spring is formed as a U-shaped cut-out. This kind of
spring can be realized by low cost of materials.
[0015] Further, the guiding assembly comprises at least one fixation flange for keeping
the oven lever in its position. In particular, the fixation flange may act perpendicular
to the longitudinal axis of the oven lever. Preferably, the fixation flange is arranged
in a rear portion of the guiding assembly.
[0016] The present relates further to a cooking oven with at least one oven cavity and at
least one oven door for closing said oven cavity, wherein the cooking oven comprises
at least one door hinge device as described above.
[0017] According to the present invention the oven cavity comprises a front frame with at
least one cut-out, wherein the at least one guiding device and/or the at least one
oven lever penetrates through said cut-out.
[0018] Typically, the cooking oven comprises a pair of door hinge devices arranged at the
two side panels of the oven cavity.
[0019] Novel and inventive features of the present invention are set forth in the appended
claims.

[0021] FIG 1 illustrates a perspective view of a door hinge device for an oven cavity 36
of a cooking oven according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention. The
door hinge device comprises a door hinge 10 and a holder 18. In FIG 1 a part of the
door hinge 10 is inserted in the holder 18.
[0022] The door hinge 10 includes an oven lever 12 and a door lever 14. The oven lever 12
and the door lever 14 are interconnected by a hinge element 16. The door lever 14
is provided for being fastened at and/or in an oven door. The oven lever 12 is inserted
in a guiding assembly 20 of the holder 18. The oven lever 12 is insertable along its
longitudinal direction into the guiding assembly 20.
[0023] The guiding assembly 20 of the holder 18 is substantially a channel with a U-shaped
cross-section. The oven lever 14 comprises a rectangular cross-section, which is marginally
smaller than the cross-section of the guiding assembly 20.
[0024] The holder 18 is made of sheet and comprises four parallel folding edges 22. Thus,
the holder 18 comprises five sheet sections 24 and 26. Two outer sheet sections 24
are in the same plane and provided for lying against a side panel 38 at a sidewall
of the oven cavity 36. Three inner sheet sections 26 form the U-shaped guiding assembly
20. In particular, the sheet is made of metal.
[0025] The outer sheet sections 24 are folded outwardly from the guiding assembly 20. When
the outer sheet sections 24 lie against the side panel 38, then the guiding assembly
20 has a rectangular cross-section being marginally bigger than the cross-section
of the oven lever 12.
[0026] In a rear portion of the guiding assembly 20 there is a spring 28 in the upper inner
sheet section 26. The spring 28 is formed by a U-shaped cut-out. The spring 28 is
provided for clamping the oven lever 12 of the door hinge 10.
[0027] In a central inner sheet section 26 of the guiding assembly 20 there is a fixation
flange 30. The fixation flange 30 is also in the rear portion of the guiding assembly
20. The fixation flange 30 keeps the oven lever 12 in its position. The fixation flange
30 acts perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the oven lever 12.
[0028] The oven lever 12 of the door hinge 10 is fixed at the holder 18 by a screw 32. After
the oven lever 12 has been inserted into the guiding assembly 20 of the holder 18,
the only step for fastening the door hinge 10 is the tightening of the screw 32.
[0029] The holder 18 comprises bores 34 in the outer sheet sections 24. By said bores 34
and suitable fixing elements, like screws, the holder 18 can be fastened at the side
panel 38 of the oven cavity.
[0030] FIG 2 illustrates a perspective view of the door hinge device attached at the side
panel 38 of the oven cavity 36 according to the preferred embodiment of the present
invention.
[0031] The holder 18 is attached at the side panel 38 of the oven cavity 36, wherein the
outer sheet sections 24 of the holder 18 lie against said side panel 38. In this example,
there are screw joints between the outer sheet sections 24 and the side panel 38.
The oven cavity 36 comprises a front frame 40. The guiding assembly 20 and the oven
lever 12 penetrate the front frame 40 through a cut-out 42 in a lower corner of said
front frame 40.
[0032] The door hinge 10 and 10' is shown twice in FIG 2. A representation on the left hand
side shows the door hinge 10, wherein the oven lever 12 has been inserted into the
guiding assembly 20. Another representation on the right hand side shows the door
hinge 10' before being inserted into the guiding assembly 20. The inserting direction
is represented by an arrow 44.
[0033] The door hinge device according to the present invention allows a quick installation
of an oven door in front of the oven cavity 10. Typically, the oven door comprises
two door hinges 10. As a first step the oven levers 12 have to be inserted into the
corresponding guiding assemblies 20. As a second step the screws 32 have to be tightened
in order to fix the oven levers 12 in the guiding assemblies 20 and at the holder
18.
[0034] Although an illustrative embodiment of the present invention has been described herein
with reference to the accompanying drawings, it is to be understood that the present
invention is not limited to that precise embodiment, and that various other changes
and modifications may be affected therein by one skilled in the art without departing
from the scope or spirit of the invention. All such changes and modifications are
intended to be included within the scope of the invention as defined by the appended

1. A cooking oven with at least one oven cavity (36) and at least one oven door for closing
said oven cavity (36), wherein the cooking oven comprises at least one door hinge
device, the door hinge device comprises a door hinge (10), the door hinge (10) includes
an oven lever (12) and a door lever (14), the door lever (14) is pivoting at and connected
to the oven lever by a hinge element (16), the door lever (14) is attached at and/or
in an oven door, the door hinge device comprises a holder (18) attached at a side
panel (38) of the oven cavity (36), the oven lever (12) of the door hinge (10) is
removably inserted in a guiding assembly (20) of the holder (18), the oven cavity
(36) comprises a front frame (40) with at least one cut-out (42), and the at least
one oven lever (12) penetrates through said cut-out (42), characterized in that
the front portion of the at least one guiding assembly (20) penetrates through said
cut-out (42) and comprises at least one screw (32) for fixing the oven lever (12),
wherein said screw (32) is arranged in a front portion of the guiding assembly (20),
and wherein the guiding assembly (20) comprises at least one spring (28) for clamping
the oven lever (12), and wherein said spring (28) is formed as a U-shaped cut-out.
2. The cooking oven according to claim 1,
characterized in, that
the cooking oven comprises a pair of door hinge devices arranged at the two side panels
(38) of the oven cavity (36).
3. The cooking oven according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in, that
the holder (18) is made of a sheet by folding.
4. The cooking oven according to any of the preceding claims,
characterized in, that
the guiding assembly (20) of the holder (18) has a U-shaped cross-section.
5. The cooking oven according to any one of the preceding claims,
characterized in, that
the spring (28) is arranged in a rear portion of the guiding assembly (20).
6. The cooking oven according to any one of the preceding claims,
characterized in, that
the guiding assembly (20) comprises at least one fixation flange (30) for keeping
the oven lever (12) in its position.
7. The cooking oven according to claim 6,
characterized in, that
the fixation flange (30) acts perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the oven lever
(12).
8. The cooking oven according to claim 6 or 8, characterized in, that
the fixation flange (30) is arranged in a rear portion of the guiding assembly (20).

Halters (18) eingeführt ist, der Garraum (36) einen Frontrahmen (40) mit wenigstens
einem Ausschnitt (42) umfasst und der wenigstens eine Ofenhebel (12) den Ausschnitt
(42) durchdringt,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
der vordere Abschnitt der wenigstens einen Führungsanordnung (20) den Ausschnitt (42)
durchdringt und wenigstens eine Schraube (32) zum Fixieren des Ofenhebels (12) umfasst,
wobei die Schraube (32) in einem vorderen Abschnitt der Führungsanordnung (20) angeordnet
ist und wobei die Führungsanordnung (20) wenigstens eine Feder (28) zum Festklemmen
des Ofenhebels (12) umfasst und wobei die Feder (28) als U-förmiger Ausschnitt ausgeführt
ist.
2. Kochofen gemäß Anspruch 1,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
der Kochofen ein Paar Türscharniervorrichtungen umfasst, die an den zwei Seitenplatten
(38) des Garraums (36) angeordnet sind.
3. Kochofen gemäß Anspruch 1 oder 2,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
der Halter (18) mittels Faltens aus einem Blech hergestellt ist.
4. Kochofen gemäß einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
die Führungsanordnung (20) des Halters (18) einen U-förmigen Querschnitt aufweist.
5. Kochofen gemäß einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
die Feder (28) in einem hinteren Abschnitt der Führungsanordnung (20) angeordnet ist
6. Kochofen gemäß einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
die Führungsanordnung (20) wenigstens einen Fixierflansch (30) zum Festhalten des
Ofenhebels (12) in seiner Position umfasst.
