(54) Foundation pile


(57) A shoe is disclosed for driving a bore for a foundation pile into the ground, the shoe comprises an interface portion for interfacing with a driving element; and an outer profile having an array of indentations or protrusions for creating at least one channel or ridge in the wall of the bore. Various parameters defining the form of the outer profile which may be beneficial are disclosed. A method of forming a foundation pile using the shoe of the present invention, as well as a foundation pile formed according to the method, are disclosed, in addition to a mandrel arranged to create the pile of the present invention.
