(54) An access terminal and a method for the terminal binding to the operator


(57) An access terminal and a method for binding the access terminal to an operator are provided. The method mainly includes the following steps. The access terminal extracts an identifier (ID) from user information. The access terminal compares the extracted ID with an operator ID stored in the access terminal. If the two are different, a dial-up process to a broadband access server (BAS) is ended. The technical solutions of the present invention can effectively prevent the user from using an access terminal provided by the current operator to access networks of other operators, so as to avoid vicious competition between the operators. Moreover, the present invention is simply achieved without affecting the networking mode and the user's habit, and has no demand of service distribution.
