(54)	Seal and airfoil tip clearance control

(57) A turbine section includes a housing (31) and a blade outer air seal (42) to be mounted on the housing. A flex beam (34) mounts the blade outer air seal (42) onto the housing (31), with the flex beam (34) being supported on the housing (31), but free to move relative to the housing (31). A pressure air chamber (30) is formed on an opposed side of the flex beam (34) from the blade outer air seal (42). A source of pressurized air is delivered into the chamber (30) to cause the flex beam (34) to move the blade outer air seal (42) toward and away from a central axis of the housing (31).
