OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present invention, as the title of this specification states, relates to a money
box especially designed for children in order to accompany the activities of educating
the young ones with the advantages of a money-conscious management.
[0002] Thus, the object of the invention is a money box that has a characteristic structure
with several compartments so as to introduce different coins and money notes in each
of thereof, thus maintaining their separation and order at all times.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0003] Currently, there are different types of money boxes made of various materials including
a single room for storing therein different coins and money notes, mixed.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0004] The money box constituting the object of the invention is characterized in that it
comprises a hollow body, inner space of which is divided into several independent
compartments for separately keeping different coins and money notes according to their
value therein, thus maintaining at all times that separation according to value of
the money contained in different independent compartments separated by radial partition
walls.
[0005] The money box is preferably made of plastic or metal material, although other materials
could also be used.
[0006] In turn, the money box includes a bottom and an enveloping side structure that defines
the inner space, so that the free edge of such enveloping side structure makes up
the mouth of the money box, wherein in a first embodiment many lids as independent
compartments have the money box are coupled, each one of said lids being provided
with a slot for introducing the money in the form of coins and money notes.
[0007] Each lid includes a base with its slot and perimeter walls that are fitted against
the top of the radial partition walls and against a perimeter wall of the hollow body.
[0008] In another less advantageous embodiment only one lid adapted to the mouth of the
entire enveloping side structure with many slots as independent compartments are defined
in the inner space of the money box may be included.
[0009] Next, to facilitate a better understanding of this specification and forming an integral
part thereof, some figures wherein the object of the invention has been represented
in an illustrative and not limitative manner, are attached.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[0010]
Figure 1. - Shows an exploded perspective view of the money box, object of the invention.
It basically comprises a hollow body with several independent compartments closed
by some lids with respective slots, through which money is separately introduced therein.
Figure 2. - Shows a sectional view of the money box wherein the coupling of the lids
with respect to the hollow body is essentially shown.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
[0011] Considering the numbering adopted in the figures, the money box comprises a hollow
body 1 of essentially cylindrical shape, which has a circular base 2 and a perimeter
wall 3, free edge of which defines the mouth of that hollow body 1.
[0012] In turn, the inner space delimited by the hollow body 1 is divided into several independent
compartments 4 separated by radial partition walls 5 that converge in a central common
edge 6, so that each independent compartment 4 is bounded by two consecutive radial
partition walls 5 and a curved portion of perimeter wall 3 of the hollow body 1.
[0013] Moreover, the independent compartments 4 have partial mouths that are closed with
lids 7 adapted to such partial mouths, while said lids 7 are affected with respective
slots 8 for inserting the money, in the form of notes or coins, there through.
[0014] Lids 7 are maintained in a fully stable position by closing the mouths.
[0015] For this purpose, each lid 7 comprises a base 9 in a circular sector-shaped, a arcuate
side wall 10 inwardly adapted to the curvature of the top of the perimeter wall 3
of the hollow body 1, and two straight side walls 10' adapted to the top of both faces
of the radial partition walls 5, so that the side walls 10-10' of the lids 7 are slightly
tucked inward, whereby a characteristic staggering 11 that generates a perimeter portion
12 in the base 9 of the lids 7 is formed, said perimeter portion rests on the free
edge of the perimeter wall of the hollow body 1 and on the free edges of the radial
partition walls 5.
[0016] The free edges of the radial partition walls 5 are arranged in the same plane as
the free edge of the mouth of the hollow body 1.
[0017] The coupling of all lids 7 entirely covers the upper mouth defined by the hollow
body 1.
[0018] Moreover, the perimeter wall 3 of the hollow body 1 is affected with some upper notches
13 that reach the free edge of the hollow body 1, and facilitate the removal of the
lids 7. The upper notches 13 have a curved outline 5.
1. Money box, which being intended to keep money therein, is characterized in that it comprises a hollow body defining an inner space divided into several independent
compartments (4) separated by radial partition walls (5), the independent compartments
(4) being provided with respective partial mouths that are closed by lids (7) affected
with slots (8).
2. Money box, according to claim 1, characterized in that the hollow body comprises a cylindrical structure formed by a circular base (2) and
a perimeter enveloping wall (3) that defines the inner space divided into several
independent compartments (4) by means of the partition walls (4) that converge in
a common edge (6) forming a structure of radial partition walls.
3. Money box, according to claim 2, characterized in that the lids (7) comprise a base (9) in the form of circular sector, an arcuate side
wall (10) according to the curvature of the perimeter wall (3) of the hollow body
(1) and two straight side walls 10' in accordance with the radial partition walls
5, said base (9) including the respective slot (8).
4. Money box, according to claim 3, characterized in that the arcuate side wall (10) and straight side walls 10' of each lid (7), are slightly
directed inward forming a staggering (11) that defines a perimeter portion (12) in
the base (9) of the lid (7), said perimeter portion (12) rests against the free edge
of the perimeter wall (3) of the hollow body (1), and also on the free edges of the
radial partition walls (5) of the hollow body 1.
5. Money box, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the lids (7) entirely covers the mouth defined by the free edge of the hollow body
(1).
6. Money box, according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the perimeter wall (3) of the hollow body (1) include some upper notches (13) that
reach the free edge of the mentioned hollow body (1).
7. Money box, according to claim 6, characterized in that the upper notches (13) have a curved outline.
