(57) In an orbital sander, a main body (2) including a motor (3) is provided with a spindle (7) that is rotatable by driving the motor (3) and an eccentric shaft (7A) that is positioned eccentrically with respect to the center of rotation of the spindle (7) and that performs circular orbital motion along with rotation of the spindle (7), and a portion of the eccentric shaft (7A) that projects downward from the main body (2) is provided with a base (5) coupled via two bearings that are upper and lower bearings (18), (15) and a balancer (29) projecting to a side opposite the side of eccentricity of the eccentric shaft (7A). A center of gravity P of the base (5) is positioned between the two upper and lower bearings (18), (15).
