Method and apparatus for allocation of an uplink resource |
(57) A component 20 in a telecommunications network including a processor 582 configured,
responsive to receiving a scheduling request from a user equipment (UE) 10, to grant
a minimum level of resource capacity to the UE 10 for an uplink transmission from
the UE 10 to the component 20. The processor 582 further configured to determine the
minimum level of resource capacity based on an expected data packet payload and on
a condition of a communications channel between the component 20 and the UE 10.
