(54)	Pulsed Plasma Device and Method for Generating Pulsed Plasma

(57) A method and a device for generating pulses of plasma are disclosed. The method of generating pulses of plasma uses a device comprising one or more cathodes and an anode. The method comprises passing a plasma-generating gas between the one or more cathodes and the anode and repeatedly: establishing an electric arc between the one or more cathodes and the anode; controlling an area of attachment of the electric arc to the one or more cathodes; and terminating the electric arc.
