(54) Method of installing an electrical fuse device


(57) An installation method for an electrical fuse device that has a primary fuse, a secondary fuse and a switching device for bringing the secondary fuse in-circuit in the event of a failure of the primary fuse. The method involves steps to ensure that the secondary fuse is securely connected to the device before having to carry current and that the secondary fuse is in-circuit when the primary fuse is installed.
