(54) Base elevating apparatus for dishwasher baskets

(57) There is at least one section (3), in which kitchen utensils are placed, in the dishwasher basket (1) of the invention. Moreover, there are holes (8), through which washing water can pass, on the basket (1). The basket (1) comprises at least one base elevating apparatus (2) and this apparatus (2) can be detachably placed into at least one section (3). In the apparatus, there are provided at least one plate (4) and at least one leg (6) extending downwardly from underside of the plate (4). There is at least one tooth (7) on at least one leg (6) so as to get in basket holes (8) and also, said leg (8) and/or teeth (7) have the feature of flexibility.

Description

Technical Field

[0001] Present invention relates to dishwasher baskets, in which utensils such as fork, spoon, and knife are placed.

Prior Art

[0002] As known, various baskets, in which kitchen utensils are placed, are used in dishwashers. Machine producers use different designs, in which small utensils such as fork, spoon and knife or large utensils such as plate, cooker are placed.

[0003] One of the most important problems observed in baskets holding cutlery such as fork, spoon and knife is that sharp edges or thin sections of said utensils protrude down from the said basket base. This sometimes causes the lower nozzle to hit said protruding portion of said utensils.

[0004] In known state of art, various studies have been executed about placing said small kitchen utensils into the basket and a published patent application with no. DE9016302 may set an example for them. Said application discloses a basket apparatus, which holds edge portions of utensils upright and haft portions down. In another published patent application with no. WO0239872 in same issue, the basket base of the dishwasher is designated in stepped form in order to ensure utensils such as small forks, spoons to stand orderly and to be washed cleanly.

Brief Disclosure of the Invention

[0005] In the dishwasher basket of the invention, there is at least one section, in which utensils are placed. There are holes, through which washing water passes, on the basket. The basket comprises at least one base elevating apparatus and it can be detachably placed into at least one section. There is at least one grill plate in the apparatus and at least one leg extending downwardly from underside of the plate. On at least one leg, there is provided at least one tooth so as to get in the basket holes and thus, the leg and/or the teeth have flexibility. The base elevating apparatus can be used in order to adjust base height of said section and prevent the utensils from protruding down from the basket base. It is also easy to use due to its detachable structure.

Objective of the Invention

[0006] An aim of the invention is to develop a dishwasher basket, in which kitchen utensils such as fork, spoon and knife are placed.

[0007] Another aim of the invention is to prevent sharp edges or thin sections of said utensils from protruding down from the basket base.

[0008] A further aim of the invention is to create a base elevating apparatus, which can be fixed into the basket or detached from the basket in order to prevent said utensils from protruding down from the basket base.

[0009] Still a further aim of the invention is to create an easy to produce and mount, cheap and safe dishwasher basket.

Description of Figures

[0010] An exemplary dishwasher basket of the invention is illustrated in annexed figure, wherein;

Figure 1 is perspective view of the basket while it is in the dishwasher.

Figure 2 is general perspective view of the basket.

Figure 3 is side perspective view of a portion of the basket.

Figure 4 is top perspective view of a portion of the basket.

Figure 5 is general perspective view of base elevating apparatus placed in the basket.

[0011] All the parts illustrated in figures are individually assigned a reference numeral and the corresponding terms of these numbers are listed below.
Dishwasher basket (1)
Base elevating apparatus (2)
Basket section (3)
Plate (4)
Grip (5)
Leg (6)
Teeth (7)
Hole (8)
Dishwasher (9)
Lower nozzle (10)
Basket base (11)

Disclosure of the Invention

[0012] Figure 1 illustrates perspective view of inner part of one exemplary dishwasher (9). As seen here, the dishwasher basket (1) is positioned right above the lower nozzle (10) and also, it is possible that some kitchen utensils (fork, spoon, knife etc.) placed in the basket (1) protrude down from basket holes (8). The base elevating apparatus (2) shown in Figures 2-5 is developed with the aim of eliminating this possibility.

[0013] The dishwasher basket (1) of the invention is a element, in which utensils (not shown in figures) such as fork, spoon and knife are placed like the baskets in state of art, and which comprises at least one section (3) (shown in figure 2), on which there are provided holes (8) (they may be holes (8) which are shown in Figure 3 and are provided on the base (11) of the basket (1) shown in Figure 4), through which washing water passes. The level of basket base (11) is adjusted to higher level by means of the base elevating apparatus (2) placed in at least one section (3) in the basket (1). Thus, although the utensils protrude down towards under the apparatus (2), they are provided to go down maximum to basket base (11) (thanks to adjustment of level of the apparatus (2)), and thus, the hitting possibility of the lower nozzle (10) to the utensils is eliminated.

[0014] The figure 5 illustrates perspective view of said base elevating apparatus (2). The apparatus (2) comprises at least one grill plate (4), on which it has holes for water passage; at least one leg (6) (four legs are shown in figures as example), which extends downwardly from underside of said leg (6). There is provided at least one grip (5), which is easy to grasp while the user fixes or detaches the apparatus (2), on the plate (4) (formed preferably in form of projection). There is at least one teeth (7), which is formed so as to gets in the basket holes (8), on at least one leg (6). The teeth (7) and/or the leg (6) can be flexed to some extent in order to make the teeth (7) get in or get out from the hole (8). Thanks to said structure, level of the apparatus (2) can be adjusted by hanging the teeth (7) to one hole (8) on required level (holes in lateral wall shown in figure 3).

[0015] Therefore, the base elevating apparatus (2) can be used in order to both adjust base height of the required section (3) (thanks to apparatus (2), the sections (3) can be adjusted to different base heights) and to prevent the kitchen utensils from protruding down from the basket base (11). It is also easy to use due to its detachable structure.
