(57) The present invention relates to mushroom cultivation and provides an apparatus that optimizes the growth process. As a consequence yield per unit area is increased. Mushroom growth has been studied during centuries. Many species of mushrooms seemingly appear overnight, growing or expanding rapidly. In actuality all species of mushrooms take several days to form primordial mushroom fruit bodies, though they do expand rapidly by the absorption of fluids.
