(57) The gas burner is comprised of a body (1) with a grooved diffuser-cap (3) characterized
by a second grooved diffuser-ring (2). The grooved diffuser is comprised of two separate
parts: the grooved diffuser-ring and the grooved diffuser-cap. In order to modify
the maximum capacity of the burner the grooved diffuser-cap can be removed or added.
The number and angle of the grooves aid in shaping the flame around the burner, hence
determining the final diameter of the heating zone and, consequently, that of the
cookware, thus avoiding energy losses. Meanwhile, the cost of production, cleaning
and maintenance is very low.
