UNDERGARMENT FOR MEN

Description

[0001] This disclosure relates to garments and more specifically to men's underwear.

[0002] Conventional men's underwear provides insufficient support for the male external genitalia, especially for men engaged in strenuous working or sporting activities. As a result sportsmen will often wear an athletic support, commonly termed a jock-strap.

[0003] US 2005/0204458 provides a jock support short including short member and an integrally-formed jock support member including a pocket portion attached to the front of the short and configured to house a protective groin cup. Elongate members extend from the waistband along opposing sides of the pocket portion, cross in the crotch region between the wearer's legs and pass to the waistband at the sides of the garment.

[0004] US2164281 discloses a men's undergarment with a fly-closed front opening and reinforced by strap-like elements extending from the crotch to the waistband, the strap-like elements crossing above the flay opening.

[0005] As will become clear from the detailed description of preferred embodiments below, the present disclosure adopts a different approach.

[0006] In accordance with a first aspect of this disclosure, an item of men's underwear comprises a garment having a front side, a rear side, and a waistband defining a waist opening; the garment further defining respective openings for the left and right legs of a wearer, and including a crotch region connecting the front and rear sides and which in use is located between the wearer's legs; the garment being shaped to accommodate a wearer's male external genitalia and being provided with a pair of elongate support bands extending from and being connected to the waistband at spaced positions therealong on the front side; the bands crossing each other at a crossing point on the front side at a position between the waistband and the wearer's external genitalia to provide a measure of abdominal support on the front side, being curved to pass around either side of the wearer's external genitalia and continuing via the crotch region to the rear side, to thereby provide a measure of support for the wearer's external genitalia; and the bands crossing each other at a crossing point on the rear side, and being connected to and terminating at spaced positions on the waistband on the rear side.

[0007] Having the bands cross on the rear side of the garment as well as being connected to the waistband on the rear side at spaced positions reduces the possibility of the garment being drawn into the gap between the wearer's buttocks.

[0008] Preferred embodiments have one or more of the following features: The fabric of the garment provides a close fit, being formed, apart from the support bands, from a stretchable fabric. The garment is configured as a brief. Alternatively, the garment is provided with leg portions adapted in use to cover upper portions of the wearer's thighs. In a further alternative, the garment is configured as long-johns with leg portions extending along substantially the full length of the wearer's legs. The garment may be configured as a pair of tights, in a yet further alternative, with leg portions extending along substantially the full length of the wearer's legs and terminating in foot portions. The support bands are relatively inelastic in the longitudinal direction thereof compared to the elasticity of the remaining fabric of the garment. The support bands are provided as tapes or pre-formed bands sewn or otherwise fixed to the remaining fabric while that fabric is in an unstretched state, whereby the remaining fabric is adapted to create a pouch in use for the wearer's external genitalia between the support bands on the front side between the crossing point and the crotch region. The support bands are provided as seams formed in the fabric of the garment, the fabric being adapted to create a pouch in use for the wearer's external genitalia between the seams on the front side between the crossing point and the crotch region. The garment is provided with an opening for manual access, while the garment is being worn, to the genitalia for urination, the opening running alongside one curved portion of support band on the front side. The bands pass from the front side to the rear side via the crotch region without crossing in the crotch region.

[0009] In a second and alternative aspect thereof, this disclosure provides a method for supporting a user's external genitalia in men's underwear, the method comprising providing elongate support bands in a garment of the kind having a front side, a rear side, a waistband defining a waist opening, respective openings for the left and right legs of a wearer, and a crotch region connecting the front and rear sides and which in use is located between the wearer's legs; the bands extending from and being connected to the waistband at spaced positions therealong on the front side, crossing each other at a crossing point on the front side at a position between the waistband and the wearer's external genitalia to provicie a measure of abdominal support on the front side, being curved to pass around either side of the wearer's external genitalia and continuing via the crotch region to the rear side, to thereby provide a measure of support for the wearer's external genitalia, crossing each other at a crossing point on the rear side, and being connected to and terminating at spaced positions on the waistband on the rear side.

[0010] Preferred implementations of this method include one or more of the following features: The garment provides a close fit, being formed, apart from the support bands, from a stretchable fabric, the support bands being relatively inelastic in the longitudinal direction thereof compared to the elasticity of the fabric, and being provided as tapes or pre-formed bands sewn or otherwise fixed to the stretchable fabric while that fabric is in an unstretched state. [0012] The garment 1 shown in the accompanying drawings is a pair of men's underpants in a close-fitting boxer-short configuration with a body portion 2 and short left and right leg portions 3 adapted to cover upper portions of a wearer's thighs. Garment 1 has a front side 4, a rear side 5, a waistband 6 defining a waist opening, respective openings 7 for the left and right legs of a wearer, in this case at the distal ends of the leg portions 3, and a crotch region 8 connecting the front and rear sides and which in use is located between the wearer's legs.

[0013] A pair of elongate support bands 9, suitably formed by tapes, which are preferably relatively inelastic in their longitudinal direction as compared with the elasticity of the fabric of the garment, or by seams, commence at and are connected to the waistband 6 on the front side of the garment. The bands 9 cross at a crossing point 10 located between the waistband and the wearer's external genitalia in use, which provides a measure of lower abdomen core support, and are curved to pass around either side of the wearer's genitalia in use and via the crotch region 8 to the rear side 5, crossing each other at a second crossing point 11 on the rear side, before terminating at the waistband 6 on the rear side. In addition to providing a measure of abdominal support, the bands, by crossing on the front side, serve to define a portion 12 of the front side between the crossing point 10 and the crotch region 8 and confined between the respective support bands 9, which is shaped to accommodate the wearer's external genitalia, and in particular the scrotal sac. To provide support from beneath, the bands 9 are gathered close together in the crotch region 8, or may even cross in this region, which arrangement is not excluded, although we have found that the slight bulge resulting from a crossing point in the region of the perineum may not be too comfortable for some wearers when sitting. Additional bands or seams (not illustrated) may extend between the two bands in the illustrated embodiment to define a gusset in the crotch region.

[0014] As a result, and especially when the garment is close fitting and preferably formed, apart from the support bands 9, from a stretch fabric, such as one incorporating elastic fibres such as fibres sold under the Trademark Lycra®, the external genitalia are supported close to the body, enabling the user to comfortably engage in strenuous activity such as sports while wearing the garment, and without need for an athletic support as such. The bands are preferably sewn or otherwise fixed to the fabric of the garment while that fabric is in its unstretched state. Accordingly, this tends to create a pouch, emphasised by stretching the fabric, for comfortably accommodating the wearer's external genitalia, which pouch is fully supported by the bands 9. The adoption of crossing points results in a neater and firmer structure than one without crossing points, but still with stretch where required.

[0015] We have found that by providing a crossing point 11 on the rear side of the garment and connecting the bands to the waistband at spaced positions on the rear of the garment, this reduces the possibility for the garment to be drawn into the gap between the user's buttocks.

[0016] An opening 13 for manual access to the genitalia for urination without undressing is suitably provided in either left-handed or right-handed versions, the opening running alongside one of the support bands 9 on the front of the garment. Opening 13 is suitably bounded on one side by the support band, and on its opposite side by a band formed in a similar manner to the support band and attached at its ends, at either end of the opening 13, to the support band itself.

[0017] Although, the illustrated embodiment is configured as a pair of close-fitting boxer-shorts, it will be readily appreciated that the garment may be configured as a brief without leg portions, or as long-johns with leg portions extending along substantially the full length of the wearer's legs or even as complete tights additionally incorporating foot portions.

Claims

1. An item of men's underwear comprises a garment (1) having a front side (4), a rear side (5), and a waistband (6) defining a waist opening; the garment further defining respective openings (3) for the left and right legs of a wearer, and including a crotch region (8) connecting the front and rear sides (4 and 5) and which in use is located between the wearer's legs; the garment (1) being shaped to accommodate a wearer's male external genitalia and being provided with a pair of elongate support bands (9) extending from and being connected to the waistband (6) at spaced positions therealong on the front side (4); characterised in that the bands (9) crossing each other at a crossing point (10) on the front side (4) at a position between the waistband (6) and the wearer's external genitalia to provide a measure of abdominal support on the front side (4), being curved to pass around either side of the wearer's external genitalia and continuing via the crotch region (8) to the rear side (5), to thereby provide a measure of support for the wearer's external genitalia; and the bands (9) crossing each other at a crossing point (11) on the rear side (5), and being connected to and terminating at spaced positions on the waistband (6) on the rear side (5).

2. An item of men's underwear according to Claim 1, further characterised in that the fabric of the garment (1) provides a close fit, being formed, apart from the support bands (9), from a stretchable fabric.

3. An item of men's underwear according to Claim 1 or 2, further characterised in that the garment (1) is configured as a brief.

4. An item of men's underwear according to Claim 1 or 2, further characterised in that the garment (1) is provided with leg portions (3) adapted in use to cover upper portions of the wearer's thighs.

5. An item of men's underwear according to Claim 1 or 2, further characterised in that the garment (1) is configured as long-johns with leg portions (3) extending along substantially the full length of the wearer's legs.

6. An item of men's underwear according to Claim 1 or 2, further characterised in that the garment (1) is configured as a pair of tights with leg portions (3) extending along substantially the full length of the wearer's legs and terminating in foot portions.

7. An item of men's underwear according to any preceding Claim, further characterised in that the support bands (9) are relatively inelastic in the longitudinal direction thereof compared to the elasticity of the remaining fabric of the garment.

8. An item of men's underwear according to Claim 7, further characterised in that the support bands (9) are provided as tapes or pre-formed bands sewn or otherwise fixed to said remaining fabric while that fabric is in an unstretched state, whereby said remaining fabric is adapted to create a pouch (12) in use for the wearer's external genitalia between the support bands (9) on the front side (4) between the crossing point (10) and the crotch region (8).

9. An item of men's underwear according to Claim 7, further characterised in that the support bands (9) are provided as seams formed in the fabric of the garment, the fabric being adapted to create a pouch (12) in use for the wearer's external genitalia between the said seams on the front side (4) between the crossing point (10) and the crotch region (8).

10. An item of men's underwear according to Claim 7 to 9, further characterised in that the garment (1) is provided with an opening for manual access (13), while the garment is being worn, to the genitalia for urination, the opening (13) running alongside one curved portion of support band (9) on the front side (4).

11. An item of men's underwear according to any preceding Claim, further characterised in that the bands (9) pass from the front side (4) to the rear side (5) via the crotch region (8) without crossing in the crotch region (8).

12. A method for supporting a user's external genitalia in men's underwear, the method comprising providing elongate support bands (9) in a garment (1) of the kind having a front side (4), a rear side (5), a waistband (6) defining a waist opening, respective openings (3) for the left and right legs of a wearer, and a crotch region (8) connecting the front and rear sides (4 and 5) and which in use is located between the wearer's legs; the bands (9) extending from and being connected to the waistband (6) at spaced positions therealong on the front side (4), further characterised in that the bands (9) crossing each other at a crossing point (10) on the front side (4) at a position between the waistband (6) and the wearer's external genitalia to provide a measure of abdominal support on the front side, being curved to pass around either side of the wearer's external genitalia and continuing via the crotch region (8) to the rear side (5), to thereby provide a measure of support for the wearer's external genitalia, crossing each other at a crossing point (11) on the rear side (5), and being connected to and terminating at spaced positions on the waistband (6) on the rear side (5).

13. A method according to Claim 12, further characterised in that the garment (1) provides a close fit, being formed, apart from the support bands (9), from a stretchable fabric, the support bands (9) being relatively inelastic in the longitudinal direction thereof compared to the elasticity of the fabric, and being provided as tapes or pre-formed bands sewn or otherwise fixed to the stretchable fabric while that fabric is in an unstretched state.

14. A method according to Claim 12, further characterised in that the garment (1) provides a close fit, being formed from a stretchable fabric, the support bands (9) being relatively inelastic in the longitudinal direction thereof compared to the elasticity of the remainder of the fabric, and being provided as seams formed in the said fabric.

Ansprüche

1. Ein Herrenunterwäsche-Artikel enthält ein Kleidungsstück (1) mit einer Vorderseite (4), einer Rückseite (5) und einem eine Taillenöffnung umgrenzenden Bund (6), wobei das Kleidungsstück weiter Öffnungen (3) für das linke bzw. rechte Bein eines Trägers umgrenzt und einen Schrittbereich (8) enthält, der die Vorder- und Rückseiten (4 und 5) verbindet und im Gebrauch zwischen den Beinen des Trägers angeordnet ist, wobei das Kleidungsstück (1) geformt ist, um die äußeren männlichen Genitalien eines Trägers aufzunehmen, und mit einem Paar von länglichen Stützbändern (9) versehen ist, die sich an der Vorderseite (4) vom Bund (6) entlang diesem in Abständen erstrecken und damit verbunden sind; dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Bänder (9) einander an der Vorderseite (4) an einem Kreuzungspunkt (10) an einer Stelle zwischen dem Bund (6) und den äußeren Genitalien des Trägers kreuzen, um ein Maß an Bauchstütze an der Vorderseite (4) zu liefern, gekrümmt sind, um an jeder Seite um die äußeren Genitalien des Trägers herumzuführen, und sich über den Schrittbereich (8) zur Rückseite (5) fortsetzen, um dadurch ein Maß an Unterstützung für die äußeren Genitalien des Trägers zu bieten, und die Bänder (9) einander an einem Kreuzungspunkt (11) an der Rückseite (5) kreuzen und an der Rückseite (5) in Abständen mit dem Bund (6) verbunden sind und dort enden.

2. Herrenunterwäsche-Artikel nach Anspruch 1, der weiter dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass das Gewebe des Kleidungsstücks (1) eine enge Passform liefert, da es abgesehen von den Stützbändern (9) aus einem dehnbaren Gewebe geformt ist.

3. Herrenunterwäsche-Artikel nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, der weiter dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass das Kleidungsstück als Schlüpfer konfiguriert ist.

4. Herrenunterwäsche-Artikel nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, der weiter dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass das Kleidungsstück (1) mit Beinabschnitten (3) versehen ist, die im Gebrauch geeignet sind, obere Abschnitte der Oberschenkel des Trägers zu bedecken.

5. Herrenunterwäsche-Artikel nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, der weiter dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass das Kleidungsstück (1) als lange Unterhose mit Beinabschnitten (3) konfiguriert ist, die sich im Wesentlichen über die ganze Länge der Beine des Trägers erstrecken.

6. Herrenunterwäsche-Artikel nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, der weiter dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass das Kleidungsstück (1) als eine Strumpfhose mit Beinabschnitten (3) konfiguriert ist, die sich im Wesentlichen über die ganze Länge der Beine des Trägers erstrecken und in Fußabschnitten enden.

7. Herrenunterwäsche-Artikel nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, der weiter dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass die Stützbänder (9) in ihrer Längsrichtung im Vergleich mit der Elastizität des restlichen Gewebes des Kleidungsstücks relativ unelastisch sind.

8. Herrenunterwäsche-Artikel nach Anspruch 7, der weiter dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass die Stützbänder (9) als Streifen oder vorgeformte Bänder vorgesehen sind, die auf das restliche Gewebe genäht oder anders daran befestigt werden, während dieses Gewebe in einem ungedehnten Zustand ist, wodurch dieses restliche Gewebe geeignet ist, um im Gebrauch zwischen den Stützbändern (9) an der Vorderseite (4) zwischen dem Kreuzungspunkt (10) und dem Schrittbereich (8) einen Beutel (12) für die äußeren Genitalien des Trägers zu erzeugen.

9. Herrenunterwäsche-Artikel nach Anspruch 7, der weiter dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass die Stützbänder (9) als im Gewebe des Kleidungsstücks geformte Nähte vorgesehen sind, wobei das Gewebe geeignet ist, um im Gebrauch zwischen den Nähten an der Vorderseite (4) zwischen dem Kreuzungspunkt (10) und dem Schrittbereich (8) einen Beutel (12) für die äußeren Genitalien des Trägers zu bilden.

10. Herrenunterwäsche-Artikel nach Anspruch 7 bis 9, der weiter dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass das Kleidungsstück (1) mit einer Öffnung für den manuellen Zugriff (13) zu den Genitalien zum Urinieren beim Tragen des Kleidungsstücks versehen ist, wobei die Öffnung (13) entlang eines gekrümmten Stützbandabschnitts (9) an der Vorderseite (4) verläuft.

11. Herrenunterwäsche-Artikel nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, der weiter dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass die Bänder (9) von der Vorderseite (4) zur Rückseite (5) über den Schrittbereich (8) verlaufen, ohne sich im Schrittbereich (8) zu kreuzen.

12. Verfahren zum Stützen der äußeren Genitalien eines Benutzers in Herrenunterwäsche, wobei das Verfahren die Bereitstellung länglicher Stützbänder (9) in einem Kleidungsstück (1) der Art enthält, das eine Vorderseite (4), eine Rückseite (5), einen eine Taillenöffnung umgrenzenden Bund (6), Öffnungen (3) für das linke bzw. rechte Bein eines Trägers und einen Schrittbereich (8) hat, der die Vorder- und Rückseite (4 und 5) verbindet und im Gebrauch zwischen den Beinen des Trägers angeordnet ist, wobei die Bänder (9) sich an der Vorderseite (4) vom Bund (6) in Abständen entlang diesem erstrecken und damit verbunden sind, das weiter dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass die Bänder (9) einander an der Vorderseite (4) an einem Kreuzungspunkt (10) an einer Stelle zwischen dem Bund (6) und den äußeren Genitalien des Trägers kreuzen, um ein Maß an Bauchstütze an der Vorderseite zu liefern, gekrümmt sind, um an jeder Seite um die äußeren Genitalien des Trägers herumzuführen, und sich über den Schrittbereich (8) zur Rückseite (5) fortsetzen, um dadurch ein Maß an Unterstützung für die äußeren Genitalien des Trägers zu liefern, einander an einem Kreuzungspunkt (11) an der Rückseite (5) kreuzen und in Abständen mit dem Bund (6) an der Rückseite (5) verbunden sind und dort enden.

13. Verfahren nach Anspruch 12, das weiter dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass das Kleidungsstück (1) eine enge Passform liefert, da es abgesehen von den Stützbändern (9) aus einem dehnbaren Gewebe geformt ist, wobei die Stützbänder (9) in ihrer Längsrichtung im Vergleich mit der Elastizität des Gewebes relativ unelastisch sind und als Streifen oder vorgeformte Bänder bereitgestellt werden, die an das dehnbare Gewebe genäht oder anders daran befestigt werden, während dieses Gewebe in einem ungedehnten Zustand ist.

14. Verfahren nach Anspruch 12, das weiter dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass das Kleidungsstück (1) eine enge Passform liefert, da es aus einem dehnbaren Gewebe geformt ist, wobei die Stützbänder (9) in ihrer Längsrichtung im Vergleich mit der Elastizität des restlichen Gewebes relativ unelastisch sind und als im Gewebe geformte Nähte bereitgestellt werden.

Revendications

1. Sous-vêtement pour homme comprenant un vêtement (1) présentant une partie avant (4), une partie arrière (5), et une ceinture (6) définissant une ouverture de ceinture ; le vêtement comprenant en outre des ouvertures respectives (3) pour les jambes gauche et droite d'un porteur, et incluant une région d'entrejambe (8) reliant les parties avant et arrière (4) et (5) et qui en utilisation est situé entre les jambes du porteur ; le vêtement (1) étant mis en oeuvre pour accueillir des parties génitales externes d'un porteur de sexe masculin, et étant muni d'une paire de bandes allongées de maintien (9) s'étendant depuis et étant reliées à la ceinture (6) en des positions espacées le long de la partie avant (4) ; caractérisé en ce que les bandes (9) se croisent l'une et l'autre en un point de croisement (10) sur la partie avant (4) en une position entre la ceinture (6) et les organes génitaux externes du porteur pour fournir une mesure de maintien abdominal sur la partie avant (4), et étant incurvées pour passer autour de chaque côté des organes génitaux externes du porteur et continuant via la région d'entrejambe (8) vers la partie arrière (5), pour fournir ainsi une mesure de maintien aux organes génitaux externes du porteur; et les bandes (9) se croisant l'une et l'autre en un point de croisement (11) sur la partie arrière (5), et étant reliées à et se terminant en des positions espacées sur la ceinture (6) sur la partie arrière (5).

2. Sous-vêtement pour homme selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en outre en ce que le tissu du vêtement (1) fournit un ajustement serré et est formé, en dehors des bandes de support (9), à partir d'un tissu étirable.

3. Sous-vêtement pour homme selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en outre en ce que le vêtement a une forme de slip.

4. Sous-vêtement pour homme selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en outre en ce que le vêtement est muni de parties pour jambe (3) agencées pour couvrir les parties hautes des cuisses du porteur en utilisation.

5. Sous-vêtement pour homme selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en outre en ce que le vêtement a une forme de caleçon long avec des parties pour jambe (3) agencées pour couvrir sensiblement le long de toute la hauteur les jambes du porteur.

6. Sous-vêtement pour homme selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en outre en ce que le vêtement a une forme de paire de collant avec des parties pour jambe (3) agencées pour couvrir sensiblement le long de toute la hauteur les jambes du porteur et se terminant en des parties de pieds.

7. Sous-vêtement pour homme selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en outre en ce que les bandes de support (9) sont relativement inélastique dans la direction longitudinale de celui-ci par rapport à l'élasticité du restant de tissu du vêtement.

8. Sous-vêtement pour homme selon la revendication 7, caractérisé en outre en ce que les bandes de support (9) sont prévues sous forme de ruban ou de bandes préformées cousues ou autrement fixées audit restant de tissu alors que le tissu est dans un état non étiré, de sorte que le restant de tissu est agencé pour créer une poche (12) pour les organes génitaux externes du porteur en utilisation, entre les bandes de support (9) sur la partie avant (4) entre le point de croisement (10) et la région d'entrejambe (8).

9. Sous-vêtement pour homme selon la revendication 7, caractérisé en outre en ce que les bandes de support (9) sont prévues sous forme de coutures formées dans le tissu du vêtement, le tissu étant agencé pour créer une poche (12) pour les organes génitaux externes du porteur en utilisation, entre le point de croisement (10) et la région d'entrejambe (8).

10. Sous-vêtement pour homme selon l'une quelconque des revendications 7 à 9, caractérisé en outre en ce que le vêtement est muni d'une ouverture pour un accès manuel (13), lorsque le sous-vêtement est porté, aux parties génitales pour uriner, l'ouverture (13) longeant une partie incurvée de la bande de support (9) sur la partie avant (4).

11. Sous-vêtement pour homme selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en outre en ce que les bandes (9) passent de la partie avant (4) à la partie arrière (5) via la région d'entrejambe (8) sans se croiser dans la région d'entrejambe (8).

12. Procédé de maintien des parties génitales externes d'un utilisateur par un sous-vêtement pour homme, le procédé comprenant une fourniture de bandes allongées de maintien (9) pour un vêtement (1) d'un type présentant une partie avant (4), une partie arrière (5), et une ceinture (6) définissant une ouverture de ceinture ; des ouvertures respectives (3) pour les jambes gauche et droite d'un porteur, et une région d'entrejambe (8) reliant les parties avant et arrière (4) et (5) et qui en utilisation est situé entre les jambes du porteur ; les bandes (9) s'étendant depuis et étant reliées à la ceinture (6) en des positions espacées le long de la partie avant (4) ; en outre caractérisé en ce que les bandes (9) se croisent l'une et l'autre en point de croisement (10) sur la partie avant (4) en une position entre la ceinture (6) et les organes génitaux externes du porteur pour fournir une mesure de maintien abdominal sur la partie avant (4), étant incurvées pour passer autour de chaque côté des organes génitaux externes du porteur et continuant via la région d'entrejambe (8) vers la partie arrière (5), pour fournir ainsi une mesure de maintien des organes génitaux externes de l'utilisateur ; se croisant l'une et l'autre en un point de croisement (11) sur la partie arrière (5), et étant reliées à et se terminant en des positions espacées sur la ceinture (6) sur la partie arrière (5).

13. Procédé selon la revendication 12, caractérisé en outre en ce que le vêtement (1) fournit un ajustement serré et est formé, en dehors des bandes de support (9), d'un tissu étirable, les bandes de support (9) étant relativement inélastique dans la direction longitudinale de celui-ci par rapport à l'élasticité du tissu, et prévues sous forme de ruban ou de bandes préformées cousues ou autrement fixées au tissu étirable alors que le tissu est dans un état non étiré.

14. Procédé selon la revendication 12, caractérisé en outre en ce que le vêtement (1) fournit un ajustement serré et est formé d'un tissu étirable, les bandes de support (9) étant relativement inélastique dans la direction longitudinale de celui-ci par rapport à l'élasticité du reste du tissu, et fournies sous forme de coutures formées dans le tissu du vêtement.
