Description

Technical Field

[0001] Present invention relates to home appliances comprising a tilting prevention system.

Prior Art

[0002] Home appliances can easily be tilted because of the goods which are put thereon or because of the forces to be able to come from outside. For instance, a cooking device can be tilted forward while the door of the device is open, because of the goods being put on the door or because of a man or an animal leaning on the door. In the tilting prevention methods of the state of art, home appliances (e.g. white goods) are fixed on the place they are present. However, usually too many fixing elements are used in said fixing operations, and when the white goods are desired to be moved, said fixing elements give the user difficulties.

[0003] Patent document no EP2197318 A1 of the state of art discloses a home appliance which is fixed on the place it is present. Said home appliance is fixed to a wall from a panel of the appliance via an adhesive element. However, in the system stated in the document, when the user desires to change the location of the home appliance, removing the home appliance from the wall gets hard. Also, after the home appliance is removed from the wall, adhesive marks remain on the wall and on the panel of the home appliance.

[0004] Another patent document no CN101435527A of the state of art discloses a system for fixing a television to the wall. In said system, two parts being fixed to the wall and television are provided. These parts are connected to each other so as to move with respect to each other. However, said connection is made by using complicated connection elements and when the user desires to change the location of the home appliance, he/she faces difficulties because of said complicated structure.

Brief Description of the Invention

[0005] In a home appliance of the invention which is provided with at least one side panel, and which is fixed to at least one fixed place by at least one tilting prevention system, said system comprises; at least one slot element which is fixed to said panel and which comprises at least one connection surface, at least one outer plate being connected to the connection surface and comprises at least one slot and at least one distancing element provided between the outer plate and the connection surface; at least one holding element which is fixed to said place; which is able to be engaged to the slot element, and which comprises at least one connection surface, and a connection part connected to said connection surface and in the form of hook being able to be engaged to said slot.

[0006] The home appliance is able to be fixed to the place by engaging said holding element to said slot element. The home appliance is removed from the place by disengaging the holding element from the slot element, and said appliance is able to be fixed to the other desired positions.

Objectives of the Invention

[0007] The aim of the invention is to develop a home appliance comprising a tilting prevention system.

[0008] The other aim of the invention is to develop a home appliance comprising a tilting prevention system which ensures that the user can easily change the location of the home appliance.

[0009] Another aim of the invention is to develop a home appliance comprising a tilting prevention system which is reliable, cost effective, and easy to produce and assemble.

Description of the Invention

[0012] Home appliances can be tilted because of the goods which are put thereon or because of the forces which are applied from outside; and such tilting can both give economic damages and injure the user. In order to avoid said disadvantages of the home appliances, the invention discloses a home appliance comprising at least one tilting prevention system in order to fix the home appliance from at least one panel of the device to at least one fixed place in an area where the device is present.

[0013] The home appliance (C), which is exemplary shown as a cooking device in figure 1, comprises at least one tilting prevention system (S) which comprises at least one slot element (2), fixed to at least one side panel (P) of the device; and at least one holding element (1) fixed to a fixed place (Z) on which the home appliance (C) is present and engaged to the slot element (2).

[0014] The slot element (2), an exemplary view of which is shown in figure 2, comprises at least one connection surface (3), which is fixed to the panel (P); at least one outer plate (4), which is connected to the connection surface (3) and which comprises at least one slot; and at least one distancing element (3a), which remains between the outer plate (4) and the connection surface (3). The distancing element (3a) is in the form of a protrusion preferably extending vertically from the connection surface (3). Similarly the outer plate (4) is in the form of a protrusion preferably extending vertically from the distancing element (3a).

[0015] The holding element (1), an exemplary view of which is given in figure 3, comprises at least one connection surface (5) which is fixed to the fixed place (Z); at least one connection part (13) which is connected to the connection surface (5) and which is in the form of hook fixed to the slot (4a) when the holding element (1) is engaged to the slot element (2). Said connection part (13) comprises at least one distancing element (7), which extends from the connection surface (5) preferably vertically, and which enters into said slot (4a) when the holding element (1) is engaged to the slot element (2); at least one holding plate (6), which extends from the distancing element (7) preferably vertically, and when the holding element (1) is engaged to the slot element (2), at least one holding surface (6a) of which contacts with the inner surface (not shown in figures) of the outer plate (4) facing the panel (P).

[0016] In one exemplary embodiment of the invention, the holding element (1) is fixed to the fixed place (Z), which is preferably a wall and the slot element (2) is fixed to the rear panel, which is a side panel (P) of the home appliance (C) such that the distancing element (7) which is provided in the holding element (1) is at the same alignment with the slot (4a) provided in the slot element (2). Then, the home appliance (C), as shown in figure 4, is tilted with respect to the ground plane towards the direction in which the slot element (2) is fixed. After the holding plate (6) provided in the distancing element (7) enters into the slot (4a), the home appliance (C) is pushed towards the place (Z) and is again brought to the vertical state with respect to the ground plane.

[0017] Therefore, as the connection detail is given in figure 5, the holding element (1) is engaged to the slot element (2). When the home appliance (C) is brought to this position, even though a force is applied to the home appliance from the front, upper or side directions; since the holding surface (6a) of the holding plate (6), which is provided in holding element (1) fixed to the fixed place (Z), is gripped on to the inner surface of the outer plate (4) of the slot element (2), which is fixed to the home appliance (C); movement of the home appliance is prevented.

[0018] In one preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one hole (8) is provided on the connection surface (5) of the holding element (1). The holding element (1) is fixed to the place (Z) by passing a connection element (10) such as screw from the hole (8), as shown in figure 6, and by fixing said connection element (10) to a connection holder (11), which is fixed to the fixed place (Z) and which is preferably a fixing plug. Therefore, the user is able to position the home appliance (C) in a desired location by means of fixing the connection element (1) in a desired position.

[0019] In another preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one hole (9) is positioned on the connection surface (3) of the slot element (2). The slot element (2) is ensured to be fixed to the panel (P) by fixing another connection element (12), which is preferably a screw, to the panel, which can be right, left or rear panel, by being passed through the hole (9), as shown in figure 7. The hole (9) on the connection surface (3) is preferably in the form of a channel. Thus, the slot element (2) is able to move according to the panel (P) when desired.

[0020] In another exemplary embodiment of the invention, when the location of the home appliance (C) is desired to be changed, the home appliance (C) is tilted with respect to the ground plane towards the side on which the slot element (2) is fixed. With this movement, the contact of the holding surface (6) with said inner surface of the outer plate (4) is ended. Then, the home appliance (C) is removed from the fixed place (Z), and thus the holding element (1) is ensured to be separated from the slot element (2). The home appliance (C) can be fixed in any desired position after brought to a vertical position with respect to the ground again.

[0021] In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the connection surface (3) of the slot element (2), which is exemplified in figure 8, is made of a material whose wall thickness is high. In said embodiment, the connection surface (2) performs also the function of the distancing element (7). In other words, the connection surface (2) and the distancing element (7) are gathered into a single structure.

[0022] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the holding element (1) and the slot element (2) are made of a sheet whose wall thickness is high. Therefore, it is ensured that the production of said elements (1, 2) is cost effective and easy; and the elements (1, 2) are reliable.
