(57) A yarn winding device (1) having shifter units (8) dividable into individual units, thereby making it possible to quickly detach and shift yarns (Y) and flexibly accommodate changes in the number of bobbins (10). The yarn winding device includes a plurality of shifter units that detaches yarns from traverse units (6) and shift the yarns to the outside of the traversal ranges of the corresponding traverse units, when the yarns are transferred from fully-wound packages to empty bobbins. The shifter units are arranged to be dividable into individual units.
