(54)	Drum-type washing machine and washing control method performed by the same

(57) A washing process includes a process of rotating a washing tank at low speed at which clothes are not clung to an inner wall of the washing tank and a process of rotating the washing tank at high speed at which the clothes are clung to the inner wall of the washing tank. A controller performs a high-speed rotation process when an output of a water level sensor becomes a predetermined condition after a low-speed rotation process. Therefore, in a state in which washing water sufficiently spreads into the clothes to cause contaminations to sufficiently float from the clothes, the contaminations can be pulled out to quickly perform washing.
