(57) The invention relates to an item(2) which can be provided in a first condition for use as an item of luggage and in a second condition as an item which can be moved along a surface via wheels, rollers or castors((14),(18),(181),(181')) with a person, such as a child, sat thereon. The item(2) is provided with a steering mechanism(12) to allow the item's direction of movement to be steered and controlled and thereby improve the safety and attractiveness of use of the item(2).
