(54) Method for producing flexible end grain balsa panels


(57) A method for producing flexible end grain balsa panels in an example of an embodiment comprises the steps of
A. arranging a plurality of lumber sticks (10) of rectangular cross-section having all the same length (ls), width (ws) and thickness (ts) parallel to each other thereby forming a block (14) of rectangular cross-section;
B. pressing a layer of scrim (26), comprising a binding agent, against end faces (24) of the lumber sticks (10) forming the block (14);
C. maintaining pressure and applying heat to the layer of agent scrim (26) to laminate the scrim (26) to the end faces (24) of the lumber sticks (10);
D. cutting a panel (40) consisting of end sections (12) of the lumber sticks (10) laminated with the scrim (26) from the block (14).
