(57) A web unwinding, slitting and rewinding apparatus comprising an unwind module (10) with an unwind supporting frame for supporting an unwind roll (13) of web material; a slitter module (11) with a slitter supporting frame incorporating one or more slitters; and a rewind module (12) with a supporting frame incorporating one or more rewind shafts for supporting, in use, rewound packages (17; 18); said unwind supporting frame, said slitter supporting frame and said rewind supporting frame being distinct frames which are readily separable from one another; whereby a selected unwind module (10) is interchangeable with a further unwind module; and/or a selected rewind module (12) is interchangeable with a further rewind module.
