(57) In a method of managing recorded program content, a specified program event is recorded to obtain a first recording (404). It is then determined (406) whether the first recording is complete. When the first recording is incomplete a search is made for a repeated instantiation of the program event (412). Some or all of the repeated instantiation is recorded (418) to obtain a second recording. Thus a complete recording of the program event has been obtained and the complete recording of the program event comprised of the second recording of the program event can be presented (424).
