(57) If a driver desires the power-performance-oriented running, since the range for selecting the series HEV running mode is narrowed as compared to the normal time by changing the SP1 switching line of the normal time to the SP2 switching line, the EV running mode is promptly shifted to the parallel HEV running mode, which improves the drivability performance. If a driver desires the fuel-efficiency-oriented running, since the range for selecting the series HEV running mode is expanded as compared to the normal time by changing the SP1 switching line of the normal time to the SP3 switching line, the time and occasion of running in the series HEV running mode increase and the engine 12 can be operated at the optimum operational point without being affected by the vehicle speed V, which improves fuel efficiency.
