(57) A planographic printing plate precursor includes a substrate having a hydrophilic
surface; and two or more recording layers provided on the substrate and each independently
containing an alkali-soluble resin, in which at least one of the two or more recording
layers is a positive-working recording layer including an infrared absorbing agent,
and in which, of the two or more recording layers, a recording layer provided in closest
proximity to the substrate includes a resin (A) having an onium salt structure and
a (meth)acrylic resin (B) having at least one repeating unit selected from a structural
unit represented by the following Formula (I) or a structural unit represented by
the following Formula (II):

wherein, R1 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group; Z represents -O- or -N(R2)- wherein R2 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, or the like; Ar1 and Ar2 each independently represent an aromatic group, and at least one of Ar1 or Ar2 is a heteroaromatic group; and a and b each independently represent 0 or 1.
