(54) A cooling device with a movable separator

(57) The present invention relates to a cooling device, particularly a domestic refrigerator, having a heat-insulated body (10); a drawer (20) disposed into the body (10) in a movable manner; and grooves (22) formed on a base (21) provided at the drawer (20) between mutual walls (23, 24; 25, 26). As an improvement, the subject matter invention comprises at least one inner box (30) which rests by being guided on the grooves (22) of the drawer (20) so as to separate the drawer (20) into at least two chambers.

Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present invention relates to cooling devices having a drawer inside a heat-insulated body and particularly relates to domestic refrigerators.

PRIOR ART

[0002] Cooling devices having a drawer wherein the items to be cooled are loaded and unloaded are known in the present art. The drawers are guided inside the cooling device body for the access of the user. Separators are utilized for using the drawers in a more efficient manner; however, said separators generally separate the drawers into two chambers. Moreover, separators are not suitable structurally for storage and they cannot stand in a vertical manner inside the grooved drawers disposed inside the cooling devices used in the present art.

[0003] In the European patent EP1724539A2, a storage drawer application is described assembled to a cooling device door and separating the drawer into three different parts with the help of a storage bin positioned therein. A storage bin application for assembly to the cooling device door comprises a storage bin having a recess and an opening providing access to the recess. The storage bin is assembled to the door in a movable manner having an open position for providing access to the recess through the opening and a closed position where the opening is closed by the door.

[0004] In the patent application CA2542627A1, a movable bin application is described positioned on a drawer. The cooling device comprises a fresh food compartment, a freezer compartment, a lower freezer drawer and an upper freezer bin. A primary set of glides allow the freezer drawer and the upper bin to be pulled out of the freezer compartment. A secondary set of glides mounts the upper bin onto the lower drawer for movement along the drawer, and back into the freezer compartment to allow access to the contents of the lower drawer.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0005] The present invention relates to an embodiment providing a drawer to be utilized in an efficient manner, in order to eliminate the abovementioned problems and to bring new advantages to the related technical field.

[0006] The main object of the present invention is to provide a cooling device where the drawer is separated into at least two chambers and where various goods are separately positioned in different chambers of the drawer and where an extra chamber is provided for the storage of the goods.

[0007] Another object of the present invention is to provide a cooling device where whole chamber of the drawer are utilized simultaneously.

[0008] Another object of the present invention is to provide a cooling device where the inner box is guided in a firm manner during the movement of the inner box inside the drawer.

[0009] In order to realize all of the abovementioned objects and the objects which are to be deducted from the detailed description below, the present invention relates to a cooling device, particularly a domestic refrigerator, having a heat-insulated body; a drawer disposed into the body in a movable manner; and grooves formed on a base (21) provided at the drawer (20) between mutual walls. As an improvement, said cooling device is characterized by comprising at least one inner box which rests by being guided on the grooves of the drawer so as to separate the drawer into at least two chambers.

[0010] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the cooling device comprises grooved parts provided on a base of the inner box, and disposed to the grooves on the base of the drawer. Thus, the inner box is guided in a firm manner during the movement thereof inside the drawer.

[0011] In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, a front wall and a rear wall of the inner box are configured being adjacent to a corresponding front and rear wall of the drawer at a distance defining a gap. Thus, an extra space is obtained for use.

[0012] In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the inner box is removable from the drawer so as to provide simultaneous usage of the whole chamber of the drawer.

[0013] In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the grooved parts provided on the base of the inner box are a grooved front part and a grooved rear part which have a flat region in between. Thus, the inner box is guided in a balanced manner inside the drawer.

THE DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0015] In this detailed description, the subject matter improvement is explained with references to examples without forming any restrictive effect in order to make the subject more understandable.

[0016] In Figure 1, the representative placement of a drawer (20) inside the cooling device body (10) is given. The drawer (20) is disposed in a horizontal manner inside the body (10) in a drawable manner.

[0017] With reference to Figure 2 and Figure 3, the drawer (20) comprises a base (21); grooves (22) provided on the base (21); a front wall (23); a rear wall (24) positioned as facing the front wall (23); and two side walls (25, 26). There is an inner box (30) positioned inside the drawer (20). The inner box (30) comprises a base (32); a grooved front part (321) and a grooved rear part (322) configured on the base (32); a front wall (33), a rear wall (34) and two side walls (35, 36) facing each other.
In Figure 2, the inner box (30) separates the interspace between the side walls (25, 26) of the drawer (20) and creates different sized chambers for the goods to be preserved therein depending on the place where they are provided. The inner box (30) can keep goods in an isolated manner from the goods provided in the drawer (20) thanks to the form thereof. In Figure 3, the inner box (30) is positioned in an adjacent manner to the side wall (25) of the drawer (20) and two different chambers are obtained inside the drawer (20). Inside the drawer (20), there is a width (W) formed by the side where the inner box (30) is provided and
the inner box (30) moves at a stroke (S) distance at most. The inner box (30) can also be positioned in an adjacent manner to the other side wall (26). The presence of the inner box (30) provides formation of at least two chambers inside the drawer (20). When the inner box (30) is removed from the drawer (20), the drawer (20) can be utilized as a whole chamber.

[0018] In Figure 4, the inner box (30) is provided in an adjacent position with respect to the rear wall (24) inside the drawer (20); and a front gap (H1) is formed between the front wall (33) of the inner box (30) and the front wall (23) of the drawer (20).

[0019] In Figure 5, the inner box (30) is positioned in an aligned manner with respect to the front wall (23) inside the drawer (20). A rear gap (H2) is provided between the rear wall (34) of the inner box (30) and the rear wall (24) of the drawer (20). Since a front gap (H1) and a rear gap (H2) are formed in the drawer (20), an extra chamber is obtained for use.

[0020] In the cooling devices utilized in the present art, the drawers (20) have grooves (22) on the base (21). The movement of the inner box (30) inside the drawer (20) is provided by guiding and sliding of the grooved front part (321) and of the grooved rear part (322), provided on the base (32) of the inner box (30), on the grooves (22) provided on the base (21) of the drawer (20). The grooves (22) provided on the base (21) of the drawer (20) are in undulated form and the grooves (22) function as a rail, and thus, they form a reference while positioning the inner box (30). Since the inner box (30) is movable and removable from the drawer (20), both the inner box (30) and the drawer (20) can be cleaned in an easy manner.

[0021] The protection scope of the present invention is set forth in the annexed Claims and cannot be restricted to the illustrative disclosures given above, under the detailed description. It is because a person skilled in the relevant art can obviously produce similar embodiments under the light of the foregoing disclosures, without departing from the main principles of the present invention.
