TECHNICAL FIELD
[0001] The present invention relates to a kind of assembly group employed for housing the
styrofoam utilized for the insulation of the part so called zero degree cooling compartments
in deep freezers or no frost refrigerators.
PRIOR ART
[0002] Zero degree compartments or chiller compartments are provided in cooling sections
of the deep freezers or no frost refrigerators. Said compartment inside the cooling
section is at a temperature between 0°C and +4°C. Styrofoam is provided on the base
section of the compartment separating the zero degree cooling compartment and cooling
section in order to isolate the temperature differences there between.
[0003] In the current applications, styrofoam is housed between a top cover and a bottom
cover made of plastic and plastic insulation group or assembly group formed as such
is mounted on the base section of the zero degree cooling compartments. Shape wise,
said bottom cover and top cover complement each other; however, they are parts having
different recess-protrusion forms and thicknesses. Thus, two different injection molds
are used for manufacturing of said covers and they are marked with different codes
to prevent jumbling thereof. This situation, in turn, results in more labor, time
and cost for manufacturing and inventory as well as low production efficiency.
[0004] In conclusion, all of the aforementioned problems have made it necessary to make
an improvement in the relevant art.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0005] The present invention relates to an assembly group developed for eliminating the
aforementioned disadvantages and providing new advantages to the relevant technical
field.
[0006] The main object of the present invention is to provide an assembly group by means
of using two single type parts.
[0007] Another object of the present invention is to provide an assembly group having low
manufacturing cost with high production efficiency.
[0008] The present invention, in order to achieve all the objects, which are mentioned above
and will be evident from the following detailed description, relates to an assembly
group comprising two interlockable cover pieces. Accordingly, said assembly group
is
characterized in that said cover pieces are identical and they comprise, to allow interlocking of cover
pieces through inner portions thereof, at least one female tab provided on the inner
portion of the cover pieces and at least one male tab provided symmetrically with
respect to female tabs in the vertical axis extending in the vertical direction along
the center of the cover piece such that each male tab corresponds to each of said
female tabs.
[0009] In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, female and male tabs are formed
so as to be compatible shape wise.
[0010] In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, assembly group is benefited
in no frost refrigerators and deep freezers with an insulating material placed between
the cover pieces for basically providing the heat insulation.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0013] In this detailed description, novelty according to the present invention is described
with examples only for a better understanding of the subject without constituting
any restrictive effect. Accordingly, a kind of assembly group (10) housing insulating
material used in the deep freezer and no frost refrigerators for insulation of the
zero degree cooling (chiller) compartment is described in the description and illustrations
given below. However, it is possible to create different assembly groups to be employed
for different purposes in different areas with small form alterations being performed
on the present invention.
[0014] In Figure 1, view of the assembly group (1) used in the prior art is given. Accordingly,
assembly group (1) is mounted on the base of a basket (1.4) separating the cooling
compartment from other sections. Assembly group (1) comprises a top cover (1.1) and
a bottom cover (1.2) having different forms. First, insulating material and then,
top cover (1.1) is placed on the bottom cover (1.2) and they are interlocked. Assembly
group (1) formed as such is adapted inside the basket (1.4).
[0015] In Figure 2, general view of the assembly group (10) according to the present invention
is given. Assembly group (10) comprises two identical cover pieces (11). Views of
the outer and inner portions (111,112) of said cover piece (11) are given in Figure
3a and Figure 3b, respectively. A vertical axis (y) extending in the vertical direction
along the center of the cover piece (11) is defined. Female tabs (12) placed at regular
intervals on the inner portion (112) of the cover piece (11) and male tabs (13) placed
symmetrically with respect to female tabs (12) in said vertical axis (y) such that
each of said male tabs corresponds to each of said female tabs (12) are provided.
[0016] Interlocking of cover pieces (11) forming the assembly group (10) is provided by
making use of said symmetrical feature. In more detailed terms, when the cover pieces
(11) are mutually positioned such that the inner portions (112) thereof face each
other, all female tabs (12) provided on one cover piece (11) correspond to the male
tabs (13) provided on the other cover piece (11) and all male tabs (13) correspond
to the female tabs (12) provided on the other cover piece (11) thanks to the female
and male tabs (12,13) being symmetrical with respect to the vertical axis (y). In
said position, female and male tabs (12,13) mutually engage and interlock when one
cover piece (11) is placed on the other one.
[0017] In accordance with the description given above, assembly group (10) is formed as
follows: An insulating material comprising openings corresponding to the female and
male tabs (12,13) provided on the cover piece (11) is placed on one cover piece (11).
Then, female and male tabs (12,13) are interlocked by placing the second cover piece
(11) onto the first cover piece (11) such that inner portions (112) thereof face each
other. Assembly group (10) formed as such is placed inside the basket provided in
the cooling compartment.
[0018] In alternative embodiments of the present invention, depending on the required number
of the female and male tabs (12,13) to be used and the required application area of
the assembly group (10), it is possible to form cover pieces (11) comprising female
and male tabs (12,13) provided in different sizes and positions provided that they
are symmetrical with respect to the vertical axis (y).
[0019] Scope of the protection of the present invention is specified in the appended claims,
wherein it cannot be limited to those described in this detailed description for the
purpose of illustration. Because it is obvious that a person skilled in the art may
suggest similar structures in consideration of those described above without departing
from the main subject of the present invention.

inner pieces (11) and at least one male tab (13) provided symmetrically with respect
to female tabs (12) in the vertical axis (y) extending in the vertical direction along
the center of the cover piece (11) such that each male tab corresponds to each of
said female tabs (12).
